Claus Havn Posted February 18, 2020 Report Posted February 18, 2020 So, apparently this has been listed a few times, but I cannot look around with the mouse. Here are the things I know: Client version: 1.12.3 Mac version: 10.15.3 MacBook Pro 15-inch, 2017 Left and right mouse buttons work, GUI works; game essentially works - but I cannot look around. And a last little tidbit, switching to fullscreen crashes the game.
Tyron Posted February 18, 2020 Report Posted February 18, 2020 Thanks for the report. Is that an external mouse you are using?
Claus Havn Posted February 18, 2020 Author Report Posted February 18, 2020 Yes, it is a Logitech MX Master 3.
Tyron Posted February 19, 2020 Report Posted February 19, 2020 I see, thanks. Unfortunately, at this point I am unable to fix this as I cannot reproduce the bug on my end. You could play on a windows computer, there the mouse works flawlessly, alternatively feel free to request a refund through a support request. Sorry for the bad news
Claus Havn Posted February 20, 2020 Author Report Posted February 20, 2020 No no, I don't want a refund. I really just want to play your game.
GoddessArtemis Posted February 25, 2020 Report Posted February 25, 2020 Same problem with the mousepad
AlexCaptain Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 @Claus Havn How would it be with a other mouse? Do you tested other mouses?
Dagmar Jäger Posted February 26, 2020 Report Posted February 26, 2020 Hi, same problem here - my setup: - MacOS Catalina 10.15.3 - MacBook Pro (Retina 13 inch, 2015) - MonoFramework-MDK-6.4.0.198.macos10.xamarin.universal - The game seems not to respond to anything I do with the mousepad, a Logitech G420 or a Cyborg RAT 7 mouse. - I even allowed Vintage Story to monitor keyboard input, even when other apps are used - didn't change anything. You probably have a lot to do now, but maybe you can fix this problem sometime. I look forward to playing the game one day. Cheers!
Elaveen Posted February 29, 2020 Report Posted February 29, 2020 Hi! I have the same problem as well. - MacOS Catalina 10.15.3 - iMac 5k 2014 My boyfriend plays on an iMac with High Sierra 10.13.6 and it is working. So seems like a problem with the latest operation system

So seems like a problem with the latest operation system We tried on an iMac with Mojave 10.14.6 and here it works. It also runs a lot smoother. We also noticed, that the interface on the Mac with Catalina is a little bit offset. I have to click a bit underneath.
Vanles Posted March 9, 2020 Report Posted March 9, 2020 Have the same problem, click, only change the direction of view is not. Everything is ok in the menu Mac OS Catalina Mouse: Raccat Kone
Anson Alexander Posted April 1, 2020 Report Posted April 1, 2020 Same problem, any good workarounds yet? I have a Windows partition but, meh.
Tomasz Dysinski Posted April 10, 2020 Report Posted April 10, 2020 OSX 10.15.3 Same issue. Dying to play this on my mac (it's my main computer)
Mychael Posted June 29, 2020 Report Posted June 29, 2020 I'm not sure if this is a Catalina specific issue or what, but the game isn't playable on my MacBook Pro 13 2020, friends MacBook Pro 16 2019, as well as his iMac 4K, all running 10.15.5. Mouse look is completely broken on Mac.
Hellmark Posted October 5, 2020 Report Posted October 5, 2020 Not a catalina issue, as I am on Mojave, on 10.14.6. I can navigate the menu and stuff, but no mouselook. I can do gestures to cycle through the toolbar though.
Orchid Posted October 25, 2020 Report Posted October 25, 2020 (edited) The only way I can use my mouse is by pressing Alt (option), it works but its annoying. Edited October 25, 2020 by Orchid
Evgeny Gurin Posted January 25, 2022 Report Posted January 25, 2022 (edited) Same problem on MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) with macOS Monterey 12.1 Can't rotate with mouse. Touchpad, external touchpad and Steelseries Rival 600 mouse all works the same way. Once i move mouse, pointer is constantly switches between system and in-game modes (video attached) The click point is slightly offset as well. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need any help with debugging. Update: Since uploading doesn't seem to work i've uploaded it to the YT Screen Recording 2022-01-25 at 12.54.55.mov Edited January 25, 2022 by Evgeny Gurin
CalebRaven Posted February 7, 2022 Report Posted February 7, 2022 At least for me on my 2021 M1 MacBook Pro, while the external track pad does not work as above (can click, does not seem to recognize movement), the built in trackpad does. The only oddity there is that sometimes an action gets stuck and the game detects a forever input, whether it be left click, strafe right, etc. - not just mouse based inputs. That seemed to go away when I disabled the, "press harder for extra click functions" bit. I may test more later to see if disabling the large variety of swiping/touch inputs one could make on a trackpad (other than two finger right click) changes anything.
RainY Posted October 9, 2022 Report Posted October 9, 2022 MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) macOS Monterey 12.6 same problem mono vintagestory.exe not help
Trikzon Posted December 8, 2022 Report Posted December 8, 2022 I just bought the game and had this problem when I first created a world and character where I couldn't look around. I found that enabling "mono-sgen64" access to "Input Monitoring" in my mac's "Privacy & Security" setting fixed the issue. 2
SerGenT-Anto_ Posted September 20, 2023 Report Posted September 20, 2023 HI, I still have this problem can someone help me ?
