Doobson Posted March 18, 2025 Report Posted March 18, 2025 Hello, I've made 6L of sulfuric acid in the cooking pot, but I cannot determine how to remove it from the cooking pot. What kind of mad science have I overlooked for removing this substance from my cooking pot? Thanks
Thorfinn Posted March 18, 2025 Report Posted March 18, 2025 Welcome to the forums, @Doobson Did you try using your finger? 2
TamTroll Posted March 18, 2025 Report Posted March 18, 2025 I don't remember the exact controls myself, but i know you can empty bowls that have water in them, struggled with that same problem when i made bread doh but it left me with four bowls holding 0.5l water or something. one thread on this forum says to try Ctrl + R + RMB (Right mouse button) to empty the bowl onto the ground. if that doesn't work, perhaps throwing it into water?
LadyWYT Posted March 18, 2025 Report Posted March 18, 2025 I think I just used a bucket or a jug to remove it and dump it into a barrel. Also, welcome to the forums!

Also, welcome to the forums! This is how I did it back in January when that feature was added. I sat the pot on the ground, used a bucket on the pot, and used the bucket on a barrel.
Doobson Posted March 21, 2025 Author Report Posted March 21, 2025 Thanks for the feedback. I tried using a clay jug and bucket on the pot in every way I could possibly imagine and I could not get the acid to move out. I didn't try restarting the client though, and sometimes things just don't work right until I do. I'll try making some again and see if the jug or bucket wants to cooperate this time.
Doobson Posted March 21, 2025 Author Report Posted March 21, 2025 (edited) I just can't do it . Any combination of right clicking + shift or control just toggles the firepit cooking menu open and closed. Bucket, jug, all the same. I can't pick up pitch glue either.. I had to remove the cooking pot from the fire and the pitch glue drops as an item that you can pick up. Seems like maybe they mucked something up recently? Edited March 21, 2025 by Doobson

Thorfinn Posted March 21, 2025 Report Posted March 21, 2025 (edited) We should have asked right off the bat, but what mods are you running? We have a server with a lot of mods (for us, anyway), around a dozen, and one or more of them are interfering with a similar mechanic, sealing crocks. Pretty sure the combination worked in 1.20.4, but not in 1.20.5. [EDIT] BTW, I don't think you can interact with it like that when it's sitting in the "to be cooked" slot. It has to be in the "finished cooking" slot. You could try setting it on the floor or a table. Edited March 21, 2025 by Thorfinn
