Big Bad Posted April 24, 2025 Report Posted April 24, 2025 God I wish I clipped or screenshot this as it happened to me. So it was 10am in September, and I'm slowly griding my spelt that had just yielded the evening before. As I do, I hear every natural sound around me cut out and the sky slowly darken. This was unlike a temporal storm where it's that rusty-pink, just absolute darkness without the night skybox. Then, at the marked spot in the image, a red glow began to form. Since I'm only in that terrible firewood lamellar, I run away to my house as soon as that red glow appeared thinking it was some especially dangerous rift. But the darkness disappeared in a few seconds afterwards-- and my sanity hadn't depleted at all. As I returned to the spot there was zero evidence anything at all had happened except for two little ingot/boot-like objects on the ground which disappeared soon after I approached them. Is this a new lore event? Has this happened to anyone else in the middle of the goddamn day? Scared the absolute hell out of me and I don't know which forum to ask about it. 1

Sparticus247 Posted April 24, 2025 Report Posted April 24, 2025 This sounds like you're experiencing solar eclipses I've only had 4 in about 150 hours of gameplay, but they all happened in pairs close together. The red glow is probably a bugged light source. If it was near a fire pit or other fire source, I've had that same glowing red night light. If it happens again try placing a torch down right in the middle and then pick it back up 2

Human17 Posted April 24, 2025 Report Posted April 24, 2025 Eclipse is the correct answer I believe. It happened to be as well, although no devil. Bears, wolves and hostile mods do continue to haunt me though! 1
HalfAxd Posted April 24, 2025 Report Posted April 24, 2025 There is a red flower (can't remember the name) which I've seen glow brightly in low light... maybe the source of the evil red glow?
