Jephph Posted May 7, 2025 Report Posted May 7, 2025 (edited) Would be really nice if i could change the bottom of my roof block to match the wall. Typically the roof looks like this: But i think it would be cool if this yellow section could have its texture changed with a block of choice: Edited May 7, 2025 by Jephph Clarity 3
Khondza Posted May 10, 2025 Report Posted May 10, 2025 a guy named Onyx on YT did a video on this and explained it way better then i could but this feature is more or less already in the game and can be found used in some story structures. The only problem is that there is no (known) way to recreate it in survival or creative so we are kinda sol on using it in our builds. 1
Thorfinn Posted May 11, 2025 Report Posted May 11, 2025 (edited) I'm no chisel expert, but I've done very similar with many other blocks. Not quite the same thing, no, as the underside of the shingle "slopes" while the chiseling is horizontal "steps", but its pretty close, isn't it? Even if it's too jarring, you can always dress up the transition with a beam. Edited May 11, 2025 by Thorfinn

Thorfinn Posted May 11, 2025 Report Posted May 11, 2025 (edited) Fished up that Onyx vid. Pretty sure that's all chiseled, then the transition covered with a beam. Look at where the actual blocks are highlighted. That's a giveaway that you are looking at a chiseled block. Edited May 11, 2025 by Thorfinn
Michael Gates Posted May 11, 2025 Report Posted May 11, 2025 Yup, I've done something like this with chiselling. Results aren't perfect but it looks good unless you jam your face right up into it. Also you can make mixed-stone cobble if you have the patience (I don't). 1
