Wooden shutters of different wood types and sizes and shapes

I would love to be able to put shutters In my windows Of different types and shapes and sizes and wood So you don't just have to make glass. Maybe even have a window shutter with a flower box plant flowers in. That would definitely need nails and would be a later game idea. Maybe just make some stick shutters at the beginning using clay and sticks and work your way up two boards and nails. I think this would add a lot of character to builds in the game. If anyone has anything to add please do. I do know you can use trap doors which works great but I just think it would be need to have shutters that you can open and close. Of different types and colors and shapes thank you for your time and have a great day

You can!   Break out your chisel and collect the various types of materials that produce the color and texture you'd like in your shutters.

Well that's a no-brainer I want to be able to open and close the shutters you can make shutters with half slabs and all kinds of stuff I mean actual usable shutters

A chiselable door/ trap door to make shutters out of might be pretty cool.

Going to necro this post rather than create a new one.

With the addition of cabinet doors, this is the right time for window shutters to exist. We have trapdoors, sure, but they operate only on a 90 degree angle, not a 180 one, as shutters would need to take up two blocks rather than the one that trapdoors do.

We have objects that do take up more than one block size, the 2x2 door being a perfect example, but again it's a 90 degree flip not a 180 degree one.

Shutters would also stop those pesky drifters from throwing stones through our windows. Its the right time to add shutters, and to give them utility by making drifters into the vandals they should be!
