Q_Tip Posted July 17, 2025 Report Posted July 17, 2025 Simple question, but so far I wasnt able to find answer and experience seem to n+n=n+1, but since its a process and I dont always pay attention... So: do both animals need to be of the same generation to get n+1 or femal n+1, with male n, will spawn n+2 ?
Solution idiomcritter Posted July 17, 2025 Solution Report Posted July 17, 2025 its the females that give birth, adding 1 to the generation count. (regardless of which male generation played)... not sure this is the answer, was kinda what I culled?  1

The generation of the male animal doesn't matter--the offspring will be whatever the mother's generation was, plus one. However, it's still a good idea to cull the males every once in a while, in favor of a higher generation animal, so that your animals aren't as aggressive/scaredy. 1
wildforester Posted July 17, 2025 Report Posted July 17, 2025 It certainly makes it much easier to work with your chickens if you cull older generations once you have at least 2 newer gensÂ
