thund3rmonk3y1 Posted July 30, 2025 Report Posted July 30, 2025 (edited) Plz don't bully me I'm fresh into modding I'm trying to complete this trampoline tutorial from the wiki and I've redone it multiple times to try an figure out these errors. Essentially the game does not recognize the block class or the .dll file containing the mod system which you can see in the second screenshot. Honestly its probably something simple but I'm out of ideas as a beginner and I can't move on without these tutorials. Edited July 30, 2025 by thund3rmonk3y1
Teh Pizza Lady Posted July 30, 2025 Report Posted July 30, 2025 Did it actually compile? try adding a dummy modicon.png file (just make a blank image in paint that's 480x480 pixels in size) to your project to clear that error. Go see if it actually made a .dll file. To get there, you can just right click the solution and go to the bottom of the pop-up menu that appears. Then go to \bin => \Debug => \Mods => \mod and see if the .dll file is there.
thund3rmonk3y1 Posted July 31, 2025 Author Report Posted July 31, 2025 (edited) Alrighty I was able to get most of those errors cleaned up but there is still one more. The .dll file was installed in "mod name"/obj/debug and I moved it into the correct location I think because that error is gone. But do you have any idea whats causing this last one? This is everything I believe is relevant. Edited July 31, 2025 by thund3rmonk3y1
xXx_Ape_xXx Posted July 31, 2025 Report Posted July 31, 2025 Make sure the namespace in all your C# files are the same, right now they are all over the place.
thund3rmonk3y1 Posted July 31, 2025 Author Report Posted July 31, 2025 I've been changing the names around but nothing seems to work. All of it was copy/pasted from the tutorial page so I'm wondering if it's outdated. Maybe someone else can run through it themselves on the mod wiki and see if it works for them. It doesn't take long just to set up the class.
thund3rmonk3y1 Posted July 31, 2025 Author Report Posted July 31, 2025 SWEET LIBERTY IT WAS ALL BECAUSE THERE WERE CAPS IN THE CLASS NAME OF THE JSON FILE I AM GOING TO BREAK MY DESK 1

Teh Pizza Lady Posted July 31, 2025 Report Posted July 31, 2025 Just wait until you're injecting code with Harmony.

Over 90% of my problems with any code I write are stupid syntax errors just like this so I feel ops pain. Props to you and @xXx_Ape_xXx for all the helpful modding advice around here. 1
