Hello!

I created my own server using BisectHosting and for some oddity, all users on my world have unlimited oxygen. When I checked the lung capacity command using /worldconfig lungCapacity, it was defaulted to "4000000". I have since changed this to 20, and used "/player Slik entity maxoxygen 20" to restore my oxygen to normal, but this hasn't changed anything.

I have also wiped my player data on the server and rejoined, but I still have unlimited oxygen.

Any ideas?? I'm happy to provide a mod list and or config if needed!

First off, welcome to the forums! One thing I would check, is to make sure that you restart the server after making such changes. Console commands that change configurations like this require reboots in order for the changes to actually take effect.

Thank you for the kind welcome!

I believe I have already rebooted, but just to be sure I have gone ahead and done this again. Unfortunate, no changes! I have attached my server mods too, but I don't feel as if any of them would influence this underwater bug

I had similar problem when i changed the value in server config file.
I was not paying attention, expecting the value to be in milliseconds while in fact it is in seconds (value for the console command is in milliseconds, but the value in server config is in seconds).
So by setting config file value to 120000 i made the Oxygen last for 2000 minutes instead of the intended 2.

Anyway...
I think that using the entity command that sets the maximum, may not have the expected effect, because the game allows these variables to go over the max.
So changing the max after somebody already got higher value, won't have an effect on them, until their oxygen gets depleted or drops under that new max value.

I do not recall how i solved it on our server.
First thing was of course correcting the value in server config file and restarting.
But same as in your case, that didn't fix it for players who connected before the server config value was fixed.
We did try the console command afterwards, and i think that was actually what fixed it for that player.
But i believe we also tried to respawn and/or killing the player.

Sorry, what console command was that?

It's really weird! I tried restarting the server and everything last night.I got on this afternoon and now I start to drown instantly!

You should be able to use the /worldconfig command again and change the value.

/worldconfig lungCapacity 40000

40,000 is the default value btw, so setting it to 20 will cause you to drown instantly.

After you change a server config, you have to restart it for the configuration to take hold. The configs are, unfortunately, read once when it starts up. Not sure how to fix that without some serious hacking of the game code.
