I'm curious how you have a red square outside the structure. If you have the windmill axle going into the house that will prevent the house from being a house.. at least that's what im assuming the red inside is telling you.. or is that red square from hitting CTRL+M (macro editor)

what mods are you using?

Vertical slabs need to be on the "outside" part of the block, meaning the unused half block is in the room.  In your case there should be a half block of space between the items along the wall and the wall itself.

Judging by what's pictured, that seems the most likely culprit.

i have no idea what the square is, it appeared when I used the "/debug rooms hi" command and disappeared with "/degub rooms unhi", also I already fixed it, it turns out I had a wattle fence as a window lol
