Scrofex Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 About to embark on my first experience with Vintage Story. Going in with a blank canvas so pretty unsure on what to expect other than a few short videos I have seen online. Wish me luck! 3 3
HalfAxd Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Good luck! Animal pits are your friend. Fire (torching the plains, etc.) is your friend. Don't be afraid to restart often until you learn the mechanics of the game (or just want a different world). Enjoy! 1
Heart_Afire Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Best of luck to you. Best advice I can give: Mark everything on your map properly...change the color, use the symbols, and type a name. 1

Best of luck on your first adventure, remember to consult the handbook often, and you can look things up in the handbook by looking at blocks, holding your sneak key (rebound mine to CTRL) and pressing H, or by hovering over them in your inventory and pressing H. 1

Have not had much time to play, but will certainly be sinking many hours into Vintage Story when I get the chance!
vinnland Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 Im so jealous, I want to rediscover the game. I may get my wish with 1.22 because I still play 1.20.
Maelstrom Posted February 24 Report Posted February 24 I started a 1.22 world to prepare for overpowering my forgeworks by combining water and wind power into a single large gear for maximum helve hammerage. Since my sea level is about 145 I need my windmill to be about 200 altitude for maximum wind power. Even though It's only May 4 and I haven't even gathered up the copper nuggets I've marked I will say 1.22 does feel different already from 1.21.
