About to embark on my first experience with Vintage Story.

Going in with a blank canvas so pretty unsure on what to expect other than a few short videos I have seen online.

Wish me luck!

Good luck!  :)

Animal pits are your friend.

Fire (torching the plains, etc.) is your friend.

Don't be afraid to restart often until you learn the mechanics of the game (or just want a different world).

Enjoy!

Welcome to the forums!

Best of luck on your first adventure, remember to consult the handbook often, and you can look things up in the handbook by looking at blocks, holding your sneak key (rebound mine to CTRL) and pressing H, or by hovering over them in your inventory and pressing H.

And they were never heard from again.

Oh no, I'm definitely still around haha! Have not had much time to play, but will certainly be sinking many hours into Vintage Story when I get the chance!

I started a 1.22 world to prepare for overpowering my forgeworks by combining water and wind power into a single large gear for maximum helve hammerage.  Since my sea level is about 145 I need my windmill to be about 200 altitude for maximum wind power.   Even though It's only May 4 and I haven't even gathered up the copper nuggets I've marked I will say 1.22 does feel different already from 1.21.
