ToothedMammal Posted March 2 Report Posted March 2 (edited) I had an idea to make a huuuuuge(27x27x13) greenhouse and build a mini ocean in it, like a little beach biome. but I realized partway through making all the glass slabs for the ceiling that rooms can only be so large and still work. Is there a way I can cheat this into existence or will I just need to deal with my mini ocean freezing over in the wintertime? Edited March 2 by ToothedMammal fixed formatting
Solution LadyWYT Posted March 2 Solution Report Posted March 2 I don't think there's a command for it, but you could probably make a mod that changes the maximum room/greenhouse size, if such a mod doesn't already exist. Or you can probably alter the game files directly to accomplish the same thing, although I don't really recommend doing that since that can be tougher to fix if things break, as well as be easily overwritten when updating the game.
Broccoli Clock Posted March 2 Report Posted March 2 The simplest way would be just to subdivide 14x14 blocks using glass as the "inside" dividers so you can see through it. It's not ideal, but if you use a chisel on those inside glass walls you won't get the "glass borders". As you are wanting a 27x27 then that's pretty much a 2x2 of 14x14s.
ToothedMammal Posted March 3 Author Report Posted March 3 I found a mod that looks like it should do the trick: Configurable Room Size There's also a mod that can highlight rooms visually without debug permissions which I personally don't need but seems helpful for anyone else who might have a similar problem to me: Room Tools I'll see if I can up the max greenhouse size using the configurable mod. Hope this helps anyone else with the same question/problem.
