Diff Posted August 22 Report Posted August 22 Weird, for Steam these shenanigans shouldn't be necessary. It's only needed for VS because they don't build the macOS version of the game on macOS hardware. 1

My problem was that even after installing .net framework and unquarantining the App with the terminal commands all Vintage Story would do was bounce in the dock and close. After a bit of searching the internet I found my problem was that in the Downloads page, the big Download button was downloading the Intel executable, and I had to find and download the Apple Silicon executable down in the list. Then, after redoing the dequarantining, everything worked. Not sure if this will help but it did get me playing... You can check what version you have by checking the archive name: the Intel version is called vs_client_osx-x64_1.22.3.tar.gz whereas the Apple SIlicon version is called vs_client_osx-arm64_1.22.3.tar.gz Holy shit you cannot believe how long I have been headaching over such a simple fix, You are a blessing. My favorite random person on an internet forum ever.
