ReFractum Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 I'm struggling to find inspiration for my gardens and farms. I'm getting tired of the uniform rows and rectangles. Has anyone done anything they find interesting and asymmetrical? Moded or vanilla. I'm generally drawn to things that seem to be more natural and flow into landscape without cutting jagged edges into terrain or simple flattening.

This isn't mine, but one scene in the trailer comes to mind, if you haven't seen it: It's probably not a very efficient way to farm at all, but it does look very nice. 2
Zahariax Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 (edited) I usually use chiseled canals in VS vanilla to give a little nice touch at my garden. In this photo the garden is real basic but i hope i gave you a nice idea PS: If you have "Hardcore Water: Transport Edition Forked" mod you can also build real canals and enanche your world building real acqueducts that feed your garden Edited April 30 by Zahariax 6
lawn Posted May 1 Report Posted May 1 I've done a large field on a complex slope. You can put water sources under the first block of the next level and a few selected other blocks as water sources in as random a pattern as possible. (while making sure every field blk will get some water boost) Then I added in a mud brick slab in all the water source blocks so they read just as muddy patches in the field. You could also try something like breaking up the field into multiple fields by using walls or lines of berry bushes. Takes a bit more effort than doing rows, but quite doable. 1
