Hymneo Posted May 10 Report Posted May 10 I made this world as 5120 x 10000 size And story structure distance scale was 50% I don't know about how measure works but It looks not working Should I make a new world as regular square?
Solution LadyWYT Posted May 10 Solution Report Posted May 10 First off, welcome to the forums! 1 hour ago, Hymneo said: Should I make a new world as regular square? A new world would be advisable. You don't necessarily have to use the default world size, but the size you have listed is much too small even with the location distance cut in half. For 50% distance I would say you'd probably need at least 10,000 blocks tall by 20,000 blocks wide, though I would probably go with 15k x 30k just to be safe, if having a small world is important. Keeping in mind those dimensions most likely won't be applicable when more story locations are added in the future. 1

I thought distance scale option would work as percentage of the world that I've set but seems it's not. Thanks for your kindness! Have a good day!
Maelstrom Posted May 12 Report Posted May 12 I think story location distances are hard coded and the scaling is to that hard coded number. Additionally, creating a smaller world doesn't not change the heat map for things like ores and rock strata, instead it just takes a cookie cutter slice out of the world seed. Creating such a bounded world could result in limiting the availability resources, most notably ores, but other things like bauxite or chalk/limestone could potentially disappear in such a small world.
