Working on building a city map with a friend of mine for sometime to eventually host a server with, any input would be greatly appreciated because we need the feedback.

There is a lot to show off, it has been a combo of mostly designing things ourselves, taking inspiration from mods like the ruins mod (in some cases taking a ruin and un-ruin-ing it), while also taking inspiration from the builds on here and the discord.

THIS LOOKS AMAZING! OH MY GOSH! I absolutely love the overhanging buildings and the colosseum and the look of the buildings with plants on top, how do you have this arranged? is it going to be RP server? have you set it up circular with different areas in different zones? I think you and your friend have done an amazing job so far. do you have areas were people could build there own little stuff? or is this area going to be a no build spawn? this looks so exciting! I do have one idea of maybe doing bridge houses over the river? if you think it will go well.

So we are planning for a RP like server with mods to mold the game closer to an RPG, we currently have areas marked with purple creative blocks for plots to eventually allow players to purchase. We will more than likely spruce those spots up later down the line.

The city is currently a massive circle with rings, the inner ring is what our original build was for a server we hosted for friends and after a lot of great feedback we opted to add the exterior ring, placing the original city in the middle, which has been a massive undertaking to fill in but has been allowing us to tweak things we had not thought about during the original build.

Arrangement wise, we are just winging it? We had started out making a tiered lattice structure for the entire exterior ring, so we could model where roads go and levels, and from there built the first layer of buildings, then followed with additional buildings on top of those buildings, leading to some areas being 2-3 layers deep of buildings and paths around the exterior ring. It also lead to an area that we refer now to as "Stair Hell" because it is a bit chaotic trying to get between levels.

Funny enough (not in pictures) am working on bridge houses that encase the river, the trick ive been trying to do is making them tall enough to enable ships to still sail through. Any suggestions here would be appreciated.

The aim with this set up is to utilize a NPC creation mod to make the city feel more alive, adding in vendors, towns people, and potentially crafting a story for the city. Essentially using Vintage story to build our own RPG server.

If i can figure out how to compress the pictures so i can add more pictures, there is also a massive sewar system throughout the city that leads to functional dungeons we built.

We have been actually having a debate on figuring out the logistics of making a public server because the shear size of this build would be massive for just our friend group.

I have more pictures but i don't have enough space to post them here

Great stuff! Suggest to convert pictures from .png to.jpg to save on space.

Wow, this looks incredible! Once everything is ready, I'd love to be part of this server. I'll probably end up playing as a beggar, haha, and be the poorest person on the server—the village crazy guy.

I'd also be willing to support the project financially if it helps with its development. Keep up the great work, and good luck!

Some more snapshots, including some pictures from the interior of the city, would love to provide more but due to a bug in the latest update im currently locked out of the server because of a bug in the world file. Hoping we can bring it back online in a day or so to continue the progress once everything can be copied to a new save file.
