Games that can be played with omok board and pieces ?

I know the wiki has one potential game (sort of like connect four... connect 5 ?), and it seems like Checkers could also be quite doable, as does Go. But does anyone have any other games they play on the omok board ? And... has anyone figured out a game that can be played with just one color of piece ? In my multiplayer we have only gotten the lead pieces and were trying to figure out a possible game with just one color, but nothing came to mind.

You can conjure up a copper piece and play some viking chess Hnefatafl, sticking to 11x11 field.

If you've managed to scrape together at least two colours to a semi-decent amount you could play Squares: make a grid with a space between each piece, then each player takes turn to connect two of the dots, whoever completes a square claims it and gets another turn. I used to play it a ton in school with grit paper but it would work on the omok board too.

If you only have a single colour of pieces you could probably use it as a kind of tic-tac-toe board, just give either player a different shape they need to make.
