rereretrograde Posted July 16 Report Posted July 16 One day, I was just starting up the game normally, and all of the sudden a bunch of missing blockIDs are in generated structures, like NPC homes, chapter 1 location, random translocators. I tried a few things, people say it could be related to mods, however I haven't disabled, or renabled any mods recently at all. I tried all sorts of combinations of mods to try and fix things, but nothing ever got fixed. I tried the blockmapping command, it also didnt help. The only thing that seemed to work, is the regen command. However, this seems to break some things, like NPCs resetting, or making my elk disappear. I also notice it seems to be an issue with chiseled blocks and aged wooden blocks. I played the chapter 1 location just normally. It was never an issue before. When I return, the place seems entirely unplayable with how many broken blocks there are. mods: tree tapping projectile tracker firewood -> sticks 4x calcified flint auto map markers more info
Professor Dragon Posted July 16 Report Posted July 16 (edited) I recommend that you add your logs and comments here: https://github.com/anegostudios/VintageStory-Issues/issues/9172 The regen command (with small radius) is currently the only fix I am aware of. It will nuke everything in that area back to "standard", so use sparingly, and not around anything you care about. There's also good troubleshooting on that thread about copying your world and checking if the issues regenerate there, and then doing the same thing again without mods. Professor Dragon. Are you playing with any mods and did you make sure that they were updated appropriately for 1.22? Older mods sometimes work on newer game version, but 1.22 introduced changes that broke a lot of older mods. If you updated to 1.22 around the same time the issues began to happen, that could be why. Aside from that, I think there were a few issues with blockIDs in some of the earlier iterations of 1.22. If the world was generated on an earlier game version, that could be what's happening here. Remapping or regenerating the chunks should fix the issue in that case, at least I think, but you'll want to backup your world before doing this, as well as make sure that things like mounts are not currently in the chunks you're trying to remap/regen, since it's very easy for something to go wrong in these scenarios. 1
