qualicabyss Posted August 19 Report Posted August 19 Currently you can boost movement speed with wooden and stone paths, however this is very limiting to building. Giving this movement speed to other player created blocks, such as cobblestone and planks, would enable more varied roads while keeping the current path blocks as a cheap alternative 6
Steen45 Posted August 22 Report Posted August 22 You should check out QP's Chisel Tools, it has a path maker tool. But overall I do agree with your suggestion 1
Foldax Posted September 20 Report Posted September 20 I feel like the system should be the other way around with most "smooth" blocks such as cobblestone, planks and packed dirt giving you "normal" movement speed and some blocks slowing you down like grass, sand... 2
Professor Dragon Posted September 21 Report Posted September 21 Yes to "All of the above." I even have path blocks running through my interiors, but options would be nice.

But you can't chisel them directly and just alter the exposed faces to look different. I think the simplest fix would be to make all "cobblestone" blocks into movement speed blocks. Should be low effort. Extends from existing cobblestone to other cobblestone. Then I think some kind of "premium" road block would be nice for end game road upgrades. The "polished" blocks could provide a 40% speed boost for example. I do like the idea of bare grass blocks giving a slight speed boost (8%?.. and boost the wooden paths to 15%) while grass / bush covered blocks are "normal" speed. Edited September 22 by Mac Mcleod 1
