Why are they different to begin with I wonder? Anyway if there's an alternative method to download the client, please let me know, thank you!

But the game account and the forum account are two different accounts. In order to have bought the game you needed to make a game account, so you should have that one. Maybe you just created it with a different email/password. You should atleast be able to check where the purchase confirmation came in. Another way to download I don't think so, but even if you get the client elsewhere you will still need to log in with your valid game account in-game to play.
Vratislav Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Local doyens will clarify, but in the past the forum probably did not require to buy the game, and this restriction came later. I assume that the separate login to forum is for these historical reasons. 1

I don't think there's any alternative method to download the game. If you've been through the standard trouble-shooting steps(ensuring correct log-in credentials, checking for typos, etc), and are still having issues with your account, you should submit a ticket to the support team so they can look into the issue. Issues like this aren't uncommon, and seem to get sorted out within a day or two, though it does depend on the team's workload and what's causing the problem.
