Can't login! Help?

Just bought the game, but I can't play it because it won't accept my login info. I've set up an account here and I've received and followed the instructions in  the confirmation e-mail, but when I try to login to the game it tells me either my e-mail address or password is wrong. I'm certain I'm using the right e-mail address and password, so what gives?

Did you buy a game key?

The account management is a bit convoluted. Your forum account is not the same as your main user account. And the main user account alone doesn't work either, but rather needs to be associated with a game key, which needs to be bought in the shop.

If you have bought a key, received it via email, and successfully activated it on the website, and you still cannot log in? Verify you're using the correct login credentials.

That did the trick! Thanks! I completely overlooked the key, and didn't realize the two accounts were different.

I'm having a similar issue, still can't log in. I tried changing my password and it still won't let me play the game.

same problem here. I did activate the key and install the game but still doesnt want me to log in. I hope I didnt waste 20€ for a non working key.

I googled this question. There are a lot of people struggling to play the game after paying.

When you have this many people struggling, you need to look at your system and ask, do we need to improve it. The answer is a resounding yes!

Welcome to the forums! Your forum account is different than your game account. If you've verified that you're using the correct login information for the account and otherwise been through the standard troubleshooting checklist(typos, caps lock, num lock, changed password, etc), and are still having no success then I would recommend submitting a ticket to the support team about the issue, as they are much better equipped for handling account issues.

I'm also having the same issue. I am 100% positive that I'm using the correct email and password for the game (not the forum account). I know these are the correct credentials because they were working a few months ago. I wasn't able to play until today but now I'm locked out of my account. It sucks because I love this game wholeheartedly, but something needs to be done about it refusing to allow you to log back in. I shouldn't have to make a support ticket just because I can't log in and the password reset request won't go through my email. 2FA would be wonderful for something like this, and I'm a bit miffed something like it hasn't been added yet. Even having a prompt on your forum account saying "yes this is my game account and I would like to log back in" would be super helpful.

Its 2 seperate accounts basically. The forum account, and the game account. Both with seperate passwords. So when logging in with the email, make sure to use the game account password, and not the forum account password (even though both uses the same email).

i can't log in either, i tried resetting the password on both accounts, game account seems corrupted in some way? idk, everytime i try it says something i wrote is wrong even tho ive done everything, it's not even long since i've been logged into the game either.
