CzBuCHi Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago I know i can dig it out pack it and place back, but that not what im after ... Im looking for way to turn 'normal' dirt into packed one without removing block from world ... in real world it called `deep soil stabilization` in game i can imagine it as placing sticks/rocks inside dirt to make that dirt stable (so i can dig under it) ...
River Oak Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Beams can be used to stop cave-ins, but they don't work to stabalise soil. 1
Professor Dragon Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago What's your goal? In addition to @River Oak's suggestion, you'd probably be served well by simply turning off falling dirt blocks. See: https://wiki.vintagestory.at/World_Configuration /worldconfig blockGravity [sandgravel|sandgravelsoil] Sets the block gravity behavior for either just sand and gravel or additionally also soil (default: sandgravel) /worldconfig caveIns [on|off] If on, solid rocks and cracked rocks now collapse if not supported while being broken/placed (default: off (except in Wilderness Survival)) /worldconfig allowFallingBlocks [true|false] If true, blocks such as sand and gravel can fall when unsupported (default: true) Or as usual, an answer may be "mods" - maybe one will come close? https://mods.vintagestory.at/stickydirt Soil Must Fall (vertically) https://mods.vintagestory.at/steadyground There is no way apart from using Creative Mode with World Edit to do a Block Replace over a Selection to otherwise "replace" one block with another. CzBuCHi Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago no... i like the extra challenge of thinking before digging... i was just wondering if the game has some principle that stabilizes the dirt... (my idea was to stick sticks in the dirt to prevent it from sliding) - something the player can, but doesn't have to do...
