Having a issue with vanilla rendered fat recipe. Is this broken? I have a cooking pot and stuck it inside but says no recipe??.

To my knowledge, there's no issue with the recipe. Simply put the fat in one slot, then light a fire underneath the cookpot. The fat should render within a minute or two. Make sure the fat only occupies one slot though, or it won't work.

The only other thing I can think of is that if you're playing with mods, one of them may be interfering with the recipe somehow.

Are you using a grime-covered cooking pot?

You can put it in however many slots you feel like - the handbook tells you as much. Even when it says that "the pot is too small", it will work just fine.

Using a residue-covered pot or mod interference are the most probable explanations.
