Tj Pepler - Critcher Posted October 8 Report Posted October 8 (edited) Hello folks, It has come to my attention that I am in fact an old man, with a big white beard, and a belly that may in fact jiggle somewhat like a bowl of jelly so this seemed like a perfectly natural project. I am going to be releasing a Christmas themed mod on Nov.01 I am quite far through the process now and the package will contain the following, Dark and light trims featuring either a bow or candy canes, also a matching corner attachment for both. Lights are multicolored and function, they twinkle randomly. Dark and light wreaths, also have working twinkling multicolored lights An artificial 6 foot Christmas tree* current plan is fully pre-decorated and lit, but if time permits I may try making each tree level a shelf so you can place your own decorations (maybe maybe maybe) An artificial 9 foot Christmas tree* same as above Gift boxes you can fill and place or give away Stockings you can fill that have an empty and full state (maybe...) Christmas music cylinders And finally, having a couple of issues right now, but almost for sure a Santa suit I would like opinions on dispersion though, would people prefer everything in a free gift box or would you prefer everything actually be crafted and earned? Currently there are no recipes but that is super fast .json stuff so I'm good either way. Edited October 9 by Tj Pepler - Critcher 1

Tj Pepler - Critcher Posted October 10 Author Report Posted October 10 I really am asking for opinions here please. I would like to know what people actually prefer but, I can't do that without some input If you think you might use a mod like this private or on a server... Would you rather if everything were available for free or would you prefer if everything had a crafting recipe? Also I said I'd stop but I wanted to post one more little thing to show that they are all actually twinkling lights, not a flat texture... twinklelights.mp4
Tj Pepler - Critcher Posted October 17 Author Report Posted October 17 I decided not to stop posting after all I have added icicle trim for all of your winter building adventures.
Tj Pepler - Critcher Posted November 1 Author Report Posted November 1 (edited) I got too greedy and dug too deep, things will take a couple more days to get packaged and out the door. Today though the gift wrapping station is released and working, https://mods.vintagestory.at/presents give that a go and the decorations should be out in a day or two, here's a picture of a tree from it; Edited November 1 by Tj Pepler - Critcher
Decorem Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 This is awesome! I love the tree topper! Don't forget the mistletoe! Maybe it can be crafter with some plant debris and a Cranbury? Love the holiday spirit man keep it cooking!

Just my two cents', but it's nice to have ways to craft the stuff and not just get it all for free. Doesn't need to necessarily be a proper recipe, as it could potentially just be a workbench where the player selects what they want to craft and then provides the needed materials from their inventory. Could also potentially have a special trader to deal in holiday goods or give the player special tasks for special rewards. But in any case, the main reason I say the above, is that the player can already get everything for free via creative mode.
Tj Pepler - Critcher Posted Tuesday at 05:11 AM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 05:11 AM @LadyWYT I agree I went with that for the wrapping table, so you throw some parchments and boards in the grid. The decorations will be similar, not expensive, but you will have to craft things. Thanks for your input!
