Light during night in summer months ?

It seems thw nights are now very light during summer months after last upgrade (to 1.14). Is it normal? It happens at coordinates behind 8000 (the second coordinate i.e. north/south). I wonder if it is too much light !!!!

It sounds like you're near a pole or something. If this game is anything like real life, 20 hour long days and 4 hour nights aren't that crazy.
Weird and disorienting, but not crazy.

Just wait till it gets winter though. Then it's 4 hour days and 20 hour nights...

...migrating with the seasons like a bird has never looked more attractive!

 

Although, if you stay really far north during long nights, the view can be a reward in its own right.

Do you to go pretty far north to witness this...I myself feel like I am deep north and have not seen this yet and have been through a whole year...maybe I am not far enough?

It's a feature of the polar regions - the parts that are in permanent ice cover, and can feature midnight suns and endless nights.

I've not ventured that ar north myself yet, but I plan to at some point in my current playthrough. Once I buy the whole fur clothing set from that trader...

thank you for this info i to would like venture to witness it i do have the fur coat, boots. and gloves so i will defiantly put this on the to due list

I think it's a bug sometimes. Coordinate 8000 is not so much far to have light like during day at 2 a.m. And as soon as I relog the day is gone and it's night. It happens frequetly after teleportation.
