AlphaRay Posted February 17, 2021 Report Posted February 17, 2021 I read something in older post about problems with bigger textures / errors in game with crashes. In my next mod i want to use some bigger textures to add more details + replace here and there existing in-game textures with some "more recognizable" ones.

I've used 128x128 textures and haven't experienced any problems nor had any reported to me. I am curious as to which older post you are referring to though.
AlphaRay Posted February 18, 2021 Author Report Posted February 18, 2021 Sounds good! I tink it's better for performance using one 64x64 texture on one object instead 4 x 32x32... And you can use "longer" stuff like 64x8...32 if needed. I read something about atlas (?) i think... About to have to set the picture size in the mod config file. Maybe this accours when you have many of bigger textures.
