Search 'How to make a Pit Kiln in 1.15 | VintageStory' on Youtube by SmileOnSpeedDial. That's how I learned to make mine. But basically you need grass, sticks and firewood. Place the clay items in the 1x1 hole, then grass then sticks and finally the firewood. Then light it. You need more firewood if you make the storage vessel. 1
