Here you can find more information. 'Free local hosting' is probably the most sensible option in your case, and it's just one mouse-click away. I used my sister's account for a week or so, trying to figure out if I wanted to buy the game or not. We were unable to do a LAN co-op from the same account (which we'd figured would be the case, but I just thought I'd throw that out there.)
