  1. Trader wagons, and thus traders, are stationary. If you have the map enabled, it's pretty easy to spot the trader wagons on it once you know what you're looking for.
  2. I believe I may have had one walnut sapling disappear when it was supposed to transition from a sapling into the first stage of growth as a tree, but so far this would be the first of dozens of seeds that I've planted while using Wild Farming. I also have only planted a single redwood seed, and it has yet to grow past a sapling.
  3. I've personally been able to use the 1.15 version just fine on all versions of 1.16 that I've played on, and I haven't had any issues with it.
  4. I've used charcoal, black coal, cinnabar, and lapis lazuli to label the parchment attached to crates, not sure why it's not working for you with charcoal. I do know that brown coal doesn't work, is there any chance you might have accidentally been trying to use brown coal?
  5. Ctrl-right clicking with a full bucket of water should place a source block of water.
  6. This is behavior I noticed started in 1.16, and the 1.16.4 stable release does not seem to fix this. I've tested this in a vanilla world first in 1.16.3, and it is still occurring in 1.16.4. When you break a lower ladder, only the unsupported ladder directly above it breaks, it doesn't seem to propagate to other unsupported ladders above the one that does break.
  7. Yes, I've played a LAN co-op world with a friend who was staying with me for a while, I started a single player world and then "Open to LAN" for him to join.
  8. I believe the intention of being able to put plates back on the anvil is because it can be an intermediary for making chain and scale. You could use the helve hammer to make the plate quickly, then put it back on an anvil to hit out the extra bits to make chain or scale.
  9. Many of those commands require you to restart the server before they take effect.
  10. It doesn't conflict from my own experience with both mods, both dry grass and straw drop.
  11. Correct, the items themselves don't show recipes to make in the handbook. That's why there are multiple in-game guides in the handbook to tell you how to make them.
  12. I'm pretty sure they mean to hit the three spots you need to get a general reading (eg. hit a spot, move 5 blocks, hit again, move 5 blocks hit again and get a reading), and then go 100 blocks.
  13. In immersive mouse mode, you need to hold down alt to free the mouse cursor.
  14. The bucket or bottle needs some type of oil in it, like vegetable oil or flax oil.
  15. Can you take some screenshots of what you're seeing from various angles?
  16. From a player/end user experience, it'd be nice to earn Xskills cooking XP while using the mixing bowl, but I don't know what that would entail.
  17. For a related question, is the only change we need to make to the "serverconfig.json" file to point it to the correct .VCDBS world save file (plus mods folder if we're using mods)? Or do we need to make sure that config file has the correct world seed and other world settings (like map size and world config stuff)?
  18. When you click on the Mod Manager, do you see three mods listed there? There should be three "core" mods, "Essentials (Code)", "Creative Mode (Code)", and "Survival Mode (Code)". These three are the core required to play the base game, and should be installed on a default game client install. If you don't see them, I'd try running the installer for the game again to see if those get regenerated.
  19. I also find roofs to be the hardest part of builds. If you have an excess of fire clay, you might try using fire clay slabs and stairs to make the roof; I'd alternate slabs and stairs so it's not too steep. Edit: Taking a closer look at your screenshot, you may already be doing exactly this?
  20. Borax, shells, and other stones that turn into lime are ground in the quern.
  21. I believe for many of the world config settings to take effect, you need to restart the server, have you had a chance to try that yet?
  22. On the server-side there should be a `serverconfig.json` file that has all the initial world configuration settings in it. If you're unsure what to set them to, here's the wiki page on world config settings: https://wiki.vintagestory.at/index.php?title=List_of_server_commands#.2Fworldconfig I'm not sure about granting yourself an admin role, I haven't gotten that far in server management myself yet (I've just toyed around with setting up a server while using a single player "open to LAN" world to play with a friend).
  23. To double check, are you first getting the rot out of the bowls by throwing the bowl into water? And then do you have exactly 64 rot in the barrel?
  24. I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure gates open to the North or West, depending on orientation. It's likely coded that way.
