RatMan Posted November 2, 2021 Report Posted November 2, 2021 Every time i try to create a new world or start up an old one the loading screen sends the messages, It begins... alone again... and Time to rest... and that's it, it just doesn't load the world. I have tried uninstalling the game and re downloading it, going to previous versions, and deleting all my saves from the save folder but nothing has worked. I dont know if it is a problem with my pc or something but nothing i have done has worked and i dont really know what to do anymore. if anyone has had this problem before or has an idea on how to fix it id be really grateful.
Streetwind Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Have you ever run Vintage Story successfully before, or is this your first attempt? Have you installed it at the default location?

głupi Posted November 11, 2021 Report Posted November 11, 2021 Same issue for me. I uninstalled everything that had to do with the game except for my previous save, then downloaded everything again, and it still wont open any worlds. Happened immediately after installing the update... Super bummed.
MoonGrub Posted April 21, 2025 Report Posted April 21, 2025 I know this post is ancient, but in case anyone comes across it: I was having issues loading saves because they weren't 'writable' and there was actually a hidden instance of Vintage running in the background on my pc. Manually killing it, and starting the program again fixed it. 1
