Lodey
I don't know if this is intended or not but I was under the impression that wine wouldn't rot if it was in a jug. I never saw any indication of the wine being perishable while in a jug, but in v1.16.4-rc.2 all of the wine jugs I stored have turned to rot.
Streetwind
All juice and all weak alcohols are intended to spoil. That they initially did not was a bug, which is now getting fixed. (Source: someone asked Tyron on Discord in response to the 1.16.4-rc1 patchnotes.) Distilled spirits (brandy etc.) are intended to not spoil. Lodey
Alright then should I assume that the jugs not indicating spoilage is either a bug or unimplemented?
Streetwind
Yeah, a lot of people are reporting that items in ground storage are not reporting their spoil timers on mouseover anymore in 1.16.x, when they did so previously. That's definitely not an intentional change. If you put the jugs on a shelf, it might show the spoil timer. It does for crocks.
Lodey
Jugs don't show any spoil time ever. Holding, placed, shelved...nothing.
Khornet
You can place jugs in the first place? Once I filled mine with wine I couldn't place them on any block, right clicking (including Ctrl) would only drink them.

Avarice
Want to bump this thread a bit, just to say that Jugs still do not display their food information, spoilage %, etc on mouse over. It's actually easier to store all the wine in buckets, they hold more, and show the tooltip information on mouse over. It would be nice to just seal the barrels and put them in the cellar to increase the lifespan of the wine as well. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, I'd love to have a wine cellar.
