Melting iron in a crucible crashes the game

when using modded fuel that burns hot enough to melt iron bits in a crucible, just hovering over the crucible with the mouse will instantly crash your game with no crash report except

"eine neue schutzseite für den stapel kann nicht erstellt werden"

picking up the crucible by breaking the block and then selecting it will crash your game permanetly when trying to load back into the map
