Drifters throwing things other than stones

The low tier drifters throwing stones is fine, but it would be better if the higher tier drifters had different things to throw. I was thinking rusty metal spikes could be thrown by the higher tier drifters like a spear that would do more damage than the stones. For the model, something like the rods on the tainted drifters could work well.

Here I was thinking you wanted surface drifters to start throwing rabbit or fox carcasses at us.  Although the occasional and sporadic animal carcass missile would be an funny.

Or they'd start throwing your chiseled chairs at you.

Them throwing things like rods maybe would be nice to see yet not so nice to catch.

I think the wanderer's proposal is that of a simple, primitive and unintelligent mob, seeing one of them using spears or any kind of more advanced items doesn't match.
