  1. Now, for using his stuff in stews, here's a basic recipe I tend to use for sausages (can also substitute the dumpling in its place) I like processing the meat as much as I can before making my stew because it amplifies the protein you get in the end.
  2. ok, incoming set of screenshots; this is how I make my sausages: First pic is my recipe, second pic is the raw result; third pic is the cooked sausage without curing, fourth pic is the cured sausage, fifth pic is the cured sausage cooked. Now...out of those 4 sausages, only the raw sausage and the aged sausage can be used in stews. I haven't tried putting the cooked or vintage in a salad yet, but I think it's supposed to work if I understand the update correctly.
  3. hmm, maybe it has to be cured and not cooked for them; let me check my stock and see what I get if I cook instead of cure; what all did you add? just meat and fat?
  4. once it cures it'll have extra nutrients (or cooks) but the nutrients don't show until you can eat it *edit* dumplings don't show extra nutrients until they're cooked either
  5. sorry for running roughshod over your thread
  6. I'm on 1.14.10, but I think I made the syrup before I changed to the latest...maybe not; but it definitely works on 1.14.10
  7. ok, I think I misunderstood you; looked like you said it tricked you and was still on 1.3.3 and still didn't work on 1.3.4; but I'd thought you were on 1.3.4 lol I'm gonna go get coffee at least you got some syrup
  8. I'm on 1.3.4 and it's working for me *edit* didn't you say you were on a freshly downloaded 1.3.4?
  9. but at least it's working
  10. I was able to get it to work just fine this time; not sure what your issue is....do you happen to still have some sap in the saucepan the old way that doesn't show in the first two parts of the screenshot? or is it entirely empty before you put the 4 portions in?
  11. your fire isn't lit...
  12. ok, that's odd; I did maple syrup last night just fine that way; let me check the tree to see if there's more sap for me to try with again *edit* not yet, only 0.5; but I'll update here if I get it working in a bit
  13. no, I assumed it would work that way too; put the 4 portions in just one slot not all 4 slots (when I did mine I had 40 portions in the first slot) tbh, it's become a bit more complicated but still useful once you figure it out lol
  14. I screwed up that quote lol Cryorus, I noticed the same with the saucepan but it works differently after the last update; you need to put the sap in the slots now instead of having it in the pan as we used to; still a 4:1 ratio, just left click in one of the four spots until you've used up your liquid
  15. ok, I just tested on cooking dumplings and berry bread, both of which used to do #4 and that has been fixed in 1.3.4, so updating their version of the mod should help that *edit* btw l33tmaan, I used to be able to remove a portion of liquid from a cooking pot or the mixing bowl by right clicking it with an empty bottle or bucket...did you remove that ability on purpose? I end up having to either pick up the pot or bowl if the liquid doesn't work in something I'm trying and wasting it instead of just rebottling it
  16. actually #3 still happens even in 1.3.4
  17. btw, just want to say yum...tho I don't really like sauerkraut irl lol
  18. #3 has been ongoing for quite some time, I don't remember when it went above 200 actually #4 I've reported here myself a couple times; bread/grain based stuff definitely does that and I think a few other items kinda glad I kept my oils in bottles lol, good to know about that bug ahead of time for me
  19. it's a 4:1 ratio; so 1.0 juice makes 0.25 syrup *edit* bottles hold 0.25 and stack to 16 bottles if empty or filled with the same ingredient
  20. your fix for the memory leak in multiplayer...is that supposed to fix the lag issues in singleplayer too? I'm still experiencing issues when I try to make things like cobblestones where I spread the rocks around the outer 8 squares in the crafting window. sometimes they just lag while I'm spreading them and sometimes they don't spread at all (the click and drag to fill multiple blocks from the same stack)
  21. trying to add/remove juice from a barrel with a bottle causes a crash (1.3.2) crashlog EF.txt
  22. so first two slots are meat, then dumpling then breadcrumbs? was trying to follow the recipe in the handbook guide also, didn't pemmican used to make batches of 6? I liked using them as travel food but I don't have a big enough supply of fat to only get 1 per...even 2 or 3 would be nice *edit* pemmican also doesn't cook continuously, you have to remove the cooked one before the next one will cook
  23. yeah just figured out the syrup *blushes* uncooked dumplings, tried adding to the cooking pot on the fire and to the mixing bowl (with a cooking pot in it) I can make the dumplings just can't seem to add them to meals *edit* singleplayer, I don't play multiplayer
  24. the duplication is still happening with knapping also, there's a great deal of..lag? when trying to do anything in the crafting window that doesn't exist with 1.2.4; it's better in 1.3.1 than in 1.3.0 but still exists in general breads and dumplings and possibly other things don't continue to bake once the first item is done; you have to remove the cooked bread before it'll cook the next one. I can't figure out how to add dumplings to meals; I imagine it's probably easy to do just haven't gotten it to work lol I may be missing the information (again) but how exactly do you drizzle sauces and syrups on bread and such? do you place it on the ground or something first?
  25. was that written anywhere on this page or in the handbook and I missed it somehow? and thanks
