I warned people of this when they were crying for a queue for the official server of TOPS in the Discord and was STRONGLY against it but was completely ignored. Previously, all you had to do was click the server for 5 minutes and you'd be able to play. You have what you wanted now. Enjoy waiting for hours. I saw this coming from miles away.

I installed kernel 6.8, did the thing they said in your post. My desk top will be zoomed in, Firefox wont be able to load bookmarks or use firefox history and my game still runs like shit exactly the same. I expected these things to happen in Linux of course but not with a game MADE for Linux. I expected it to be like this with installing WoW or something. This pc is actually my old pc on which I wanted to test Linux, my other pc is a 2 year old rx 6700 xt, 5950 amd machine that still has windows. But if I can't make it work on this one, I'm never installing Linux on that one. I just need 470 to work on this machine. What do I do? Should I go to linux mint dot com and install LM21 and just use that forever? Will it work then? Never use any other higher version?

Looking around a Nvidia version 470 is available but according to chatgpt it's an LM21 vesrion and using it could lead to issues. Is it something I can somewhat safely risk?

I didn't expect it to run perfect but honestly it used to run really good on Windows 10. It seems like I cant download any official drivers for GTX760 anymore so I'm stuck with the opensource nouvuea one. Basically it's pretty much unplayable. Moving around with the mouse everything is super slow-mo. Stats: Linux Mint 23 GTX 760 i5 4590 H97M-PLUS motherboard 16GB RAM PC was built in 2015. Anything I can do?

All it needs is that it could come as lightning. You're wandering around and suddenly you get a 0.5 second full blown temporal storm moment and then it disappears again. Teh it happens again until it stays ore something. Idc tho, I dohn't like those storms. I think they should've kept the stormy things for another dimension that you could enter. That would be really cool. That it happens in the over world is stupid, much like temporal instability above ground is stupid. I like the idea underground, I mean it's PERFECT underground. I mean, think about it, you're crawling in the dark Earth looking for minerals and it just slowly creeps up on you, you catch and run for the surface to get a breather and then go back down again - unless you're willing to risk it! Then you'll have to fight through a horde of halucinations - or are they? Yeah, no. Temp Instability above ground is so stupid, annoying and dumb as are temp storms. Temp storms on the over world would be ok if you were able to summon some kind of end game boss from the rust dimension and with it came the temp instability - then it's cool again - and/or if they were extremely rare otherwise. Online it's just annoying. As are the insane mob spawns (especially now with those stupid snipers) at night. I just hide and TAB out at night which kinda breaks the fun since al it does is take you OUT OF THE GAME instead of in it. Not a fan. I just think it's lazy design. It's easier to throw it OVER an already existing world than having to make a completely new one that you could enter. I noticed bear spawn count increased dramatically after 1.20 for the "sturdy leather" or whatever. Now I run into a bear every 200 blocks and it's no fun. They only stop being a threat when you get iron or steel armor and that's literally end game not to mention the COST of making those. At the very least tone down the brown bears. Them out running you is not fair in this case since they are GODDAMN EVERYWHERE. You have to run so far in this game all the time to find anything at all and I just end up getting killed 1000-2000 blocks out with all my leather backpacks and constantly having to create new ones. It's no fun. They are ok here and there but goddamn not like this. You can't even cheese them anymore with a 4 high stack. This is just frustrating. I tried running in circles with a spear but their health is too high. Nothing works. Their spawn count was fine before. Bring it back. Or at the very least let us cheese them with 4 blocks high dirt stacks. I constantly have 2-3 black bears camping 50 blocks from my home at all times no mater how much I kill them. And the moment you want to look for fire clay you spend 80% of your time running from brown bears that kill you anyway. Very frustrating. At least give us bear spray or some shit if you are that adamant about them being this plentiful.

For context, I used to game on a AOC C24G1 but then I got a new couch and moved the pc to a shitty cheap 7 year old 4K 55inch Medion TV from Aldi. Ever since I could "feel" input delay when walking around and I thought it must be the 60Hz of the TV. But then I grabbed an item and swirled it around and saw that the item follows my mouse instead of staying on it. Basically like this (also see attached). I then replugged my PC into the AOC monitor and also noticed the effect but to a way lesser degree and none at all when walking around and looking around with my mouse. With the 4K TV it feels like that new underwwater effect - not as a strong but I can still feel the effect. This makes me misclick and mis-look (running into walls, misclicking items ike crucibles and pots and bowls, axes etc. Anyway. In the attached it doesn't lok like much but that's because of the shitty recording software, it's actually two items blocks behind my mouse when I move the cursor. Is this the TVs problem or coudl it be my hardware? I never noticed these things with my Xbox on the TV... 26.05.2024_16.36.28_REC.mp4

Same motherboard?

I'm getting short lag spikes when people communicate in chat on TOPTS ever since this update. 8-9 out of 10 messages causes me to lag for 0.5 seconds. I;ve had the same stuff happen ro me when people joined and left the server before this update but now I have both the chat lag plus joining/leaving lag. No idea why or what.

CAn you make it so that when I'm playing online and prospecting, the chat won't automatically jump to GENERAL when I need it to stay at INFO. It's quite a hindrance having to click INFO every 10 seconds because people are chatting the whole time.
