I'd say that is way to min max for a new player to worry about. It's much simpler to just go 12-15 in each cardinal direction and try again. Just don't forget to fill up the entrance to the branches with dirt or something. I finally had a sawblade locust spawn in the side shaft I made. It was a very rude thing to find on my way back up the ladder.

As others have mentioned you need to go down below .7xsea level. If you didn't change world height that is around 77. 50 block internvals for iron, why? That seems very wasteful and will send you all over the map when the iron deposit can be just a few blocks away. Especially if you are a Decent or greater reading.

It's okay until the crazy jumps at the end where you miss by a pixel and you fall to your death. Some of the earlier levels are kind of fun puzzles. Doing the exact precision jumps at the end are just annoying to be annoying.

I'm hoping the next chapter will be something different and not another dungeon crawl or parkour park with a boss at the end. I like bosses in general but 8 chapters of boss fights will get a bit stale.

I would say more torches so you don't get drifters in your house. If your house is small enough to count as cellar then your food will last longer if you seal up the doors.

That thing is a death trap in itself. Unless they made flying easier since I first tried to use it. You read the lore book about flying and think... wow that would be cool! You get the glider and well... it doesn't add up to the lore story and if you are slightly off on your landing you go splat.

We can agree 100% on this one. It's a misery session topped off by a very big let down of a fight.

God mode fly to the top and call it a day. I did this miserable thing one time and that was the only time I will ever do it.

That has to be a mod issue or map resizing, because I've never seen a cactus just 5k south.

I'm not a fan of removing the gear from the UI for vanilla, but it could be useful for a challenge setting. I think if of it less as redundant and more of a extra feature or something that could be used for a challenge setting where the gear is removed from the UI.

It's a cool idea. I haven't seen anything like it yet, so I don't think you are duplicating. Some people just want to know this as shown in the other thread. I don't need the information, but lots of people would like a way to know besides looking at the gear.

If it is just you and your wife you can also just turn off the white list and use a password. I do this with servers I run with my son. I would suggest turning off the "AdvertiseServer" if you are just playing with your wife. You don't need the world to know the server exists anyway. "AdvertiseServer": false,
