I don't know how to do that, but depending on how old the world is, it might not be bad when you do /wgen regen. If you want to check, load an older version of the game with the world generation mod you used before. Teleport to the archives and then log out update to the new version and try /wgen regen to see what happens.

Black Bronze: an alternative for the tin-deficient seraph
Zane Mordien replied to InternetDragon's topic in Guides
I've had exactly 1 playthrough where right next to my base was exposed quartz with silver/gold and no tin or bismuth nearby. So I did actually make the black bronze anvil after I bought a couple pieces of tin from the trader with the few gears I had. Now granted that was 1 time out of I don't know how many playthroughs I've done, so it's not quite a common thing for me. I felt really weird pouring the anvil though. Felt like such a waste. -
New player looking for tips regarding: Early-game Food
Zane Mordien replied to Telios's topic in Questions
For you it is a conscious decision based on your playstyle. For a new player that thinks the crop will ripen anytime soon it is a mistake. Even in 2 months how many wild crops can be harvested when they start off 2 of 9 for grains? Turnips would have already given you a harvest in the same 2 month time period if you planted them immedately. Our playstyles are probably vastly different though, becuase after 2 months I'm usually making iron in 1.21 and before. My exploration is limited to what I need to get copper, make some type of bronze, get some iron going, while harvesting and planting crops. I usually don't ever mine anything but surface copper and tin I buy from a trader 50% of the time. That's just my way though, and I'm sure plenty of people love to get lots of copper and bronze while enjoying the gameplay. I think you're missing the quote for someone else on this one, since my posts don't talk about this. Although I will say for the pigs and chickens I do not use a pit trap. I create a fenced in area and put dirt stairs up over the fence so the piggy will follow me in and then I have a dirt block inside that I use to jump out. Saves me the trouble of trying to get the pigs back out of the pit trap.- 30 replies

New player looking for tips regarding: Early-game Food
Zane Mordien replied to Telios's topic in Questions
Is that confirmed in the code, because I thought I was told the code doesn't care. It's just a small chance to spawn and they will spawn if the RNG says yes. From my own observations, I rarely have bear respawns. Wolf respawns have been all over the place since 1.18 when I started playing. Even if bears do respawn, I usually have the armor to deal with them easily by then.- 30 replies

New player looking for tips regarding: Early-game Food
Zane Mordien replied to Telios's topic in Questions
Bear spawns are like the Spanish Inquisition. Yeah, it's one of those things you don't know until you see it yourself or someone tells you. You would think they would mature at a normal rate, but nope. Grain is a yes for chickens. I would suggest you go into a creative world and just mess around with what goes in each trough so you know. You can also watch it cycle through options but that is so slow and hard to read sometimes.- 30 replies

Temporal storms are a bad implementation of a good idea.
Zane Mordien replied to Tabulius's topic in Discussion
Well since someone else reopened the topic. Did anyone else listen to the interview with Saraty & Tyron talking about temporal storms? She was very adamant that the storms were not finished. It sounded like as we have discussed, they are just a placeholder. They mentioned adding something to the storms to make them worth interacting with vs sitting and hiding. Made me feel better at least. -

This is one of the biggest mistakes I think people are making. Waiting for wild crops to mature. Only reason I mark a wild crop is if my inventory is full.- 30 replies

bug? 1.22 Medium fertility farmland(?)/flax(?) nerfed/bugged?
Zane Mordien replied to Calmest_of_lakes's topic in Discussion
Hey, now at least I finally have a reason to make a iron hoe since I will have to replace all of my medium fert soil. Before I never bothered with anything than a stone hoe since by the time I could spare the metal to make a hoe my planting was already done. Me either, but we aren't exactly the average new player. When I watch someone stream VS who is new they all pass right by the wild crops not realizing they need to harvest them and start planting. That or they think they need to wait until they are fully grown to harvest them. -
bug? 1.22 Medium fertility farmland(?)/flax(?) nerfed/bugged?
Zane Mordien replied to Calmest_of_lakes's topic in Discussion
The problem is really just grain though isn't it? I've harvested turnips multiple times. Sure the growth is stunted but I'm hitting October with 6 stacks of turnips. I have carrots and onions as well. I agree though it seems a little over done. The new player is going to suffer on grain since I assume they won't be as fast finding it and they won't understand that they need to plant it ASAP. -
How can I find out which areas of the map never snow?
Zane Mordien replied to Tolo's topic in Questions
I assume that is because you went south far enough that it doesn't snow or perhaps you are in an area where rain is rare. Although, I find even if rain is rare it still snows at some point. -
I was very ugh with the smithing changes until I started working and realized that they lowered the temperatures as he noted. It's a nice touch of realism without going to far.

Actually you can work iron without the bellows, just not very efficently. Charcoal gives you a +50 forge temperature and you can work iron. You aren't going to be making a set of armor or anything, but you can make a couple important tools without the bellows. I hope that is intentional because I like it. You can't do much but you can do a little without the bellows.

I will be waiting for someone to create the mod that removes the ability to throw bricks and download it immediately. That will be my very first "must have" mod.

HOLY COW THIS RUIN IS GOATEDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Zane Mordien replied to COMMANDER_GEB's topic in Discussion
There are a couple really nice rare vanilla ruins. I found 40 gears in one that had a hidden stash in the ceiling. -

This was my experience as well and I don't have any runing speed buff. Andy hay? Not sure who/what that is. Weird is all I can say. They aren't bear aggressive or anything but as they are pretty easy to aggro for me and they just come one by one like lambs to the slaughter. They do try to run at first but I just poke them once and they turn around and try to kill me. -

Zane Mordien replied to Calmest_of_lakes's topic in Discussion
They increased the aggro in 1.22 even if they didn't have a piglet. The boars won't let you just fence them in anymore. As soon as I tap one pig they all try to kill me and I slaughter them. -

Zane Mordien replied to Calmest_of_lakes's topic in Discussion
Makes it easier to me, the red meat just comes to me to die. Once you have a trash shield and a falx you can pretty much slaughter them. -
berrybush Berry bush rework confuses me.

Sacrilege! Potash should never touch anything but your sacred flax growing soil! I think they said it was just bonemeal, but I haven't confirmed. -
bug? 1.22 Medium fertility farmland(?)/flax(?) nerfed/bugged?
Zane Mordien replied to Calmest_of_lakes's topic in Discussion
Yeah this will just get removed again. I thought they got rid of this before because people would just farm animals this way for easy red meat. I have had deer, goats and rabbits all trying to get into my farm. -

Zane Mordien replied to Calmest_of_lakes's topic in Discussion
Also it's a delay on animal husbandry to an extent because you can't really feed them if you don't have the grain to make it efficient. I hope they dial it back a notch in the full release. This reminds me of the time they adjusted mining speed to match the player animation. It was overdone and they quickly adjusted it back some. -

How I build the new clay oven for better bread baking?
Zane Mordien replied to RobinHood's topic in Questions
No, it's just clay forming, but you do need fire clay which isn't super easy like it used to be.
