Something similiar happened to me before with son who plays with me. I think I had to delete his character and then he could rejoin the server.

How long are we talking about? I pause the game all the time and walk away and I've never seen this. Granted it's usually about an hour at maximum, since that is what it takes me to get my kids ready and in bed.

It is 100% visible to the owner of a server. It is stored in the playerdata.json along with the PlayerUID which I assume is the permenant tag for your character if they ever allow you to change your Playername. It is just that simple in my experience. I set up all of my servers on my PC then transfer the saved game file to the server. You need to copy the serverconfig.json as well and put it in the correct folder on the server. Also note that you need to whitelist yourself on the server. They set up the server to default to whitelist only and even if you set it off in the serverconfig it still requires you to be whitelisted. Depending on how you are running the VS server that can be annoying or very easy to do.

I would use it for high fertility more than TP. I will admit though it's more for when I challenge myself and do snowball earth or an arid world where soil is less fertile. In those worlds if I move I want the ability to take the soil with me.

Not everything is about you. I was not attacking you or asking for you to explain anything. I very purposefully did not respond to your original post becuase I have already tried talking to you and it was pointless for both of us. Also where did I say anything was unresonable? I was trying to understand what Cyro was thinking. He may not be thinking about it the exact same way as you or maybe he doesn't understand what can be adjusted in the settings. I wanted to understand his take on the issue. I still think you should post whatever you want as a suggestion and maybe the Tyron will create that as an option in the settings. If you don't ask it will never happen. I would personally support you having the option to turn off whatever you want. Just keep in mind that maybe it isn't that easy for them to program the game to only spawn mobs in caves and never on the surface. Doesn't seem like it would be, but there are a lot of things I think should be easy that are not.

I swager into the RA for the for the 30 or 40th time, I lost count. The boss.. I'm not worried. I beat him every time with no issues. As I'm walking along the first platform thinking, maybe the tier 4 mobs in the mines will be an issue, I get hit and knocked back by the first Tier 2 drifter and sent flying back over the edge of the platform to my death. It never even occurred to me to worry about dying right at the start from a knock back.

If you haven't found it yet, what is your game seed and did you change any world generation settings? I can create the same world and find it for you.

What am I missing? All of the things that he mentioned can be turned off when you create the world or you can turn them off after you create the world with world configuation commands. You can also play Homo Sapiens mode and add the map or whatever you want to add back in the settings.

Maybe if people turn in some logs where it shows their real name? Since the default installation location is under Users I've notice it shows my name. I'm actually interested myself if there is a real issue or just a tin foil hat issue. This file is probably not a good example of what you would turn in for a bug, but I know it shows up there. Would the properties still have your computer name or user name? I can't remember how that works.

Weird. Did you send them back the original file or the one after you tried to open and repair it?

Are you trying to open it on a new server or as a single player file? I once download my sever savegame and tried to run it as a single player world and it said the file was corrupted. The same savegame file still works on a server.

Is he really in it for the views though? He grinds the game out for 100 episodes and ends up with <100 views per episode. If he was just going for views I think he would stop somewhere around 20 and start something new. He ground through the 7D2D afterlife mod and let's be honest that was brutally hard to watch content.

The snow doesn't impact them from my experience. The baby animals can popcorn out when you scare them into a corner, but not even 3 high fences will stop that the last time I checked. You can put the fence in the ground so it barely sticks above the ground and animals can't easily cross it. A bear will just run up to it and look at you.

The same magic Thorfinn uses to dodge bears in permadeath. I feel your pain. Even in my tier 3 armor it isn't worth the effort IMO.

I don't even know what this means. In general I think you are trying to discuss this with me like I'm @LadyWYT which I am not. We do not hold the same lore beliefs. You have referenced these TV shows. My point is, lore or not, I've spent more hours in this game than I've spent watching those shows, so maybe the devs haven't gotten it all wrong. I don't think the storms are particularly interesting they way they are now and I hope they change, but I know it is futile to try and argue them away. They seem pretty fundamental to how Tyron wants the game to be experienced. Don't get stuck on the lore, because ultimately its what the devs want that we get. Lore can be retconed at any time they feel like it.

As I've stated, the lore will allow for anything almost. If you are trying to paint me as a defender of the sacred lore, you are way way off base. The lore is so wide open you could fly a jumbo jet into the game and the devs could add a few more lore books to support it. It would be stupid, but it wouldn't violate the lore. You need to be objective about your own arguements. No, but you were making the silly comparison between TV shows that cost millions of dollars per episode to develop to an indy game that started with a tiny budget. That's the conversation you were trying to have. Explain how that is circular? For example, I could make a forum post about how much I hate that the game is based on cubical blocks and the dev's should rework everything to be tetrahedron based. Someone telling me that the developer isn't going to change it, doesn't make it circular. I have one idea and the developer has another. Also this post/thread is just a complaint session, which is fine. God knows I've made a couple. There is a suggestion forum/discord channel/reddit thread where we can make suggestions. Come up with something cool and post it, but if you are just going to say get rid of temporal storms.. I'd say you are wasting your time, but it's your time to waste.

Don't let it hold you back from posting suggestions. You never know what might stick.

There is nothing to be objective about. You're stuck with the lore because that is what the developer wants the game to be about. We can suggest tweaks, but if you want it removed then I think you're out of luck. Even the greatest TV show was a pile of garbage until a good writer took the half-baked outline and wrote a good story. Come to think of it, I’ve spent more hours playing Vintage Story than I’ve spent watching all of those shows combined. After season 2 almost all TV shows Jump the Shark for me and become ridiculous.

Welcome to the game. I think you have to view it that the base game has 'lore' and the other modes were added for people won't don't like the lore. It takes a lot to get things right for the main game and they miss some things for the Homo Sapiens mode. Keep reporting the issues and I bet they will come up with solutions. I'm sure there are suggestions like this on the Discord or Reddit but I can't remember seeing many on the forums.

I can't reproduce that in Vannila. I can load as many chickens as I want into a pen and they never do that.
