  1. You were the lucky recipient of a stinky world gen. Best thing to do when you spawn a world is immediately save after world creation and character creation, then make a copy of the save and use that to use dev mode fly around a bit to make sure you have a good variety of all three layers of stone in your area. I've seen all Igneous layers of rock starts too and they always sucked and would pretty much break your game with all the things they don't allow to spawn in them.
  2. RC6 when? Clicking anything related to linen in the handbook immediately crashes to desktop. No mods installed.
  3. I recently started a world with a lot of limestone. Most of the starting area was limestone with some slate and Bauxite nearby. I searched forever and could never find native copper bits (new to the game, fyi) so went to google and found that in Limestone native copper doesn't occur (which isn't in the description for native copper, only that it doesn't spawn in Bauxite) but it does appear in Malachite. Per the wiki Malachite can be a surface ore. Fast forward another 7-8 game days roaming around and hunting for Malachite and other things like bees and resin. Nada on Malachite. So I download the x-ray mod and find Malachite about 10 tiles deep right near my based area, yet it never spawned surface bits at all. That specific area may have been 11-12 tiles high from the copper originally, so not sure if there is a max depth for copper or Malachite to appear on the surface or not. I also see a large deposit 14 tiles deep from the surface of a huge lake and like the other mineral spawn, no surface bits at all to indicate it was there. Does Malachite spawn surface bits like the wiki says, or no? This was a world created with 1.19 rc1, and upgraded to rc2 and now rc3. Per the xray mod any 'native' bits of copper are 400+ tiles away otherwise. Appreciate any clarity because it's been very frustrating to find the normally easy to source surface copper, and have had to pan every single nugget of it so far.
  4. Love the update! I seem to see a lot less animals than before. Chickens, rabbits, foxes. I think I have seen one boar and have crossed thousands of blocks worth of terrain. Only a single paif og mountain goats and 3 sets of deer (2-3 deer each time). 1.18.15 there were mountain rams, pigs and chickens all over, or maybe that world seed I just got really lucky.
  5. Loaded this in a world created with rc1 and a good portion of the berry bushes lost their fruit. Of the 10 of so bushes I visited, all but 2 had the fruit lying on the ground instead of on the bush. Assume this was something with rc2 vs rc1 since immediately before loading rc2 and launching back into the game, all the bushes with ripe fruit it was still on the plant. EDIT: Thanks for the holiday drop regardless, Merry Christmas!
  6. Makes me wonder how this poll would change if done again and not 2 years later, and also if the tailor gambeson was hard coded to only work with the tailor choice for background.
