  1. I know I've suggested this before, but I'm becoming more convinced that Tyron is actually just Alec Newland's pseudonym... Gesiþas Gewissa: Taming Feral Kittens to Tackle the Mice on my Early Medieval Farmstead - Anglo-Saxon Cats
  2. I just checked the assets. Pigs don't eat rice or parsnip, same for sheep, but they both accept flax under "grain", yes. Nothing seems to have changed with any of their diets since 1.20.12, the handiest previous version I had.
  3. Flax still shows as grain in the code for the troughs, grain is still an acceptable type of food for chickens, so I have no clue what that patch note meant.
  4. Same, but I can also understand if it wasn't the direction the team wanted to go in. I'm happy to have experienced it, at the least, and it would be easy enough to implement as a mod.
  5. Half of me wants to skip this update, but the other half is a prankster server admin... I bet that's from the missing text.
  6. Or, I have a mod modifying brick stack sizes without knowing it, and without saying so on the mod page. Whoops. No clue which mod does so, but vanilla doesn't allow 16 bricks to be fired, only 12. I thought it had changed in 1.21. Edit: It appears to be Bricklayers doing the shift from 12 to 16 bricks, so perhaps the bug starts there.
  7. Quick question re: pit kilns. Everything I've tested, it takes 20 hours when firing with firewood, and down to 10 hours when using charcoal. Is it intentional that it still takes 20 hours when firing fireclay bricks and refractory bricks, 16 at a time, even when using charcoal? It seems like a mistake somehow caused when the stacks changed from allowing only 12 bricks to be fired at a time to 16 bricks.
  8. Yes, as they very much were in reality, for well over a century when bows/crossbows and firearms first coexisted in Europe.
  9. No. The cauldron is a giant saucepan, as far as this mod goes. The saucepan is for exclusively EF/ACA recipes, not vanilla cooking. This, however, goes incredibly well with EF/ACA: Metal Cooking Pots
  10. I wouldn't worry about hurrying such a config along, it really is trivial to remove the texture from the mod itself. Thanks again for the update, what I felt was so lacking in my 1.21 world has now been remedied. The other players on my server are enjoying the excitement of finding meteoric iron (without it being as easy as the mod which made meteoric iron blocks drop ingots!) once again.
  11. HUGE. That's been a long-standing RAM-eating issue, with signs/crates, etc. being entities.
  12. Thanks for updating this for 1.21.1! Also: for anyone else longing for the vanilla VS meteoric texture but finding this mod essential, remove the assets/game directory in the mod entirely. It's a replacement of two textures, for meteoric iron and for the anvil. Without them, all of the mechanics remain as modded, but all of the vanilla textures stay.
  13. Even this is an understatement! Last night during multiplayer, I had multiple players experience quite the interesting issue: on cobbled/polished/tiled floors, in well lit areas, in player-built structures, "families of goats" were spawning. Kids, two adults, etc. Repeatedly. It should be dialed back a bit, perhaps? Right now it's rather absurd how frequently this was being brought up over only a few hours.
  14. So... I admit, they are no longer black lines.
  15. Excellent! I notice that things looked very washed out, at times. I just did; no real issues. I also use quite a few mods! The only issue I had was related to (I think) Combat Overhaul/Armory. Duplicated the obsidian arrowheads recipe. "9.9.2025 07:10:17 [Error] Failed registering item game:arrow-obsidian:" and "9.9.2025 07:10:17 [Error] Failed registering item game:arrowhead-obsidian:"
  16. FINALLY! That's one of those longstanding things that always bugged me, to be honest. Thank you! That will be a huge improvement in enjoying the sights during long rides. Thank... you. You shouldn't have. No, really...
  17. It's okay. You'll become exceedingly efficient at making mod packs.
  18. That's huge! Oh, good. That was... bothersome. It was supposed to be?! Interesting. Are seashells perhaps in the drops, rarely?
  19. Excellent! This is one of those little QoL-impacting bugs that has been plaguing me for a while now.
  20. Discord is the best for ACA/EF, in my opinion.
  21. So far, this has been excellent fun! Aside from mod-related crashes, I have had zero instability running 1.21.0-pre, it seems much more stable than previous -pre builds. Well done!
  22. Well, that was unexpectedly huge for a -pre.1 changelog! Any intent to have players able to stand on the sailboat, full collision at some point, or is that still on the to-do list?
  23. I love that you've taken the initial concept from Squonk and absolutely run with it! Kudos.
  24. "Update early, update often" in action once again! Good stuff.
