You can get the higher percentage by not taking out the top and bottom row, just add it to the pattern.
Then go vertical (down 7) for your next set.
I don't go that route to prevent drifters from dropping on my head when I end up deep..
I cut a rectangle around a 2x10x 7 tall section.
Take out the top row and the bottom row.
Cut opposing checker boards on the sides.
This gives 50 solid blocks each section.
It took 61 charcoal to heat 64 Lime to 825 degrees.
It took another 25 charcoal to cycle the stack of 64 to give me 32 Quicklime.
If it heats the whole stack to 825 degrees, it would seem like it should complete the whole stack in one cycle. or quicken the cycle.
86 charcoal for 32 Quick lime seems like a lot.
I'll work with it, I think they're on the right track here, but it could use a little tweaking.
Update :"Terra Prety Didn't crash but when I entered the game the terrain was defiantly vanilla. I tried 3 times and then checked the logs, It threw exceptions and must have given up.
I also noticed a couple of exceptions for Better ruins that a couple structures couldn't be placed. I don't know if there was a 2nd try or they were skipped, But for the most part I have seen more than a dozen surface ruins for better ruins so I believe it to be working.
I haven't done much but run around like my hair is on fire.
And the following seem to be working
Carry on,
Auto map marker
Resin relief.
Better Ruins
Spyglass
Gimme one seed plz
Hud Clock Patch
NDL hollows - although I found 2 hollows with empty bags- never happened before

IMGui
Dear IMGui
I am going to try Terra Prety tonite.
Just roll with it. some games I have to wade through copper, then wade through bronze, and Then Iron to get to steel.
Sometimes I can skip copper, go to bronze until I make an anvil, roll through Iron to steel. Different worlds different luck, different stories.
Enjoy the journey.
I believe I read somewhere that the limitations of Items moving through horizontal chutes was 10 blocks, so in order to extend that distance you would use a Archimedes screw every 10th block.
Check your #1 Core load in task manager, performance, I had to turn on all my cores in windows. that got it off 100%. It still uses #1 core More than the others, but it shares more workload.
I then limited my FPS to 70 and that lowered the #1 core to about 80%. FPS is still mostly 55-60 which is very smooth.
That way I could keep my view distance to 1024 and settings to max
Before that I would occasionally hardlock where I couldn't bring up task manager until I figured out After control alt. delete followed by Alt TAB to show the Task manager and VS Black screen.to chose from. I could only Hit the X and close VS. then The task manage would come up and I could shut down VS in the task manager.
No error log or anything to show whats wrong. I figured it was a rare problem But its no longer an issue.
I ran into this and put the transmission on the horizontal shaft under the floor and used a trap door to access it.
You can't use it upside down either so you need to put it on a shelf of some sort.
