i'm kind of hesitant to indulge the eagerness to have big-name streamers and creators tell their audiences about the game... from my understanding the devs have been very deliberate about their release process/trying to handle the growth of the community and their feedback. i definitely agree that the game deserves more love but i think equally the devs deserve to have the pacing that they want for the game, to get feedback as the community incrementally grows over time so that they don't lose sight of their goals because of too much input
that being said, i think i heard about one of the Hermitcraft members, GeminiTay, mentioning vintage story on one of her streams or videos, and i have mixed feelings even about that. i'm glad that she's discovered the game and that she enjoys it, but i do have concerns exactly for the reasons i mentioned above; the devs don't want to be inundated by too much input, and i certainly don't want an influx of several thousands of new players (...and kind of especially, i don't want an excessive influx of extremely young players that want to treat it with the simplicity of minecraft and then complain that it's too hard.)
in the future, when the devs have reached a point where they're more satisfied with their progress and feel more secure in their ability to handle a larger fanbase, i would be a lot more supportive of popular streamers and creators calling larger attention to the game. as it stands, though, i quite like the relatively-small community that exists now
