  1. darn, sucks that this mod finally is getting put to rest, i have been away from the game for a while, but this has been in every pack i make for years, was always such a pretty addition, and one i had always hoped to see get expanded one day, but i SO get the no time thing, i barely have time to game at all, still, tis nice to hear that you are doing well, or at least are still around as of june. hopefully life gets better and more peaceful for you soon
  2. why not just have the herbs and other "plants expansion" items as toggleable config items or toggleable group files?
  3. the silver one Not glowing definitely screams issues to me, probably more than the others being the wrong color
  4. i know right? or like make a shrine to Aurora goddess of rainbows, spring, and waterfalls by hiding some crystal lighting behind a small waterfall grotto so that various colors play along the stones and bushes and frothing waters. or make little "fairy houses" in a woods (shrooms, toadstools, hollow trees, nests, and such) and give them fairly lights. im not free to play much, but id love to play with you and build a cool world some time Raine, maybe we could use it to make cool example screenshots for the mod haha
  5. okay, to be fair that is a sort of cool and pretty bug lol. also thank you for continuing your work on all your mods and also just being awesome Raine.
  6. try using the number keys for items in the hotbar to get an effect like the second option, sadly only works with hotbar though
  7. i will agree that your crystal textures are awesome
  8. crystal "laser" lines could be cool too, like tripwires, or signal senders or something, not that there is much currently for them to interact with. maybe they would give the color's effect to things that pass through them. or maybe they just are an actual laser and hit things based on how much light you have blasting through the focusing lens (to be fair there could be several versions of lens crafting sa irl they had different versions that got better as the world teched up) but fun decorations seem almost better than function at times haha also crystal headdress/antlers...
  9. around here we get usually a few days of snow each year, most still grow even in winter, at most needing a cover so they aren't fully covered, but they definitely slow down, and in some cased they are deciduous. of course each herb family has so many sub members that there is almost always a variety that will survive where you are all year if you look hard enough.
  10. perhaps you could split the work into one each of these to lessen overlap or clashes in theme: Natural pack *a pack, or maybe several by region, that adds real world creatures Drifter pack *creatures that have been taken by those of the deep, the forces of the fade, and the shadows themself. Cogwork pack *beings of metal, gears, and machinery, the locust are not the only ticktockers around Temporaly fluxed *being near, consuming, or being experimented upon with the temporal source has infused these beings, contaminating them with spacial drift and temporal blur Pre-crash custom exotics *these creatures were advanced engineered beings that the rich and famous kept, after the fall they went wild, however you can still see the evidence of fantastical myths in them, or the occasional biotech augment elemental awakening *the world has noticed the harm that humans cause, and has infused its beasts with essences to push back just some fun alternate grouping ideas
  11. 1. glad you like the ideas 2. hmm, fair, they do look very different due to the sheer amount of fluff 3. thats reasonable, perhaps a fantasy/scifi critters pack could happen at a later date 4. makes sense, red pandas and tanukis do indeed live on separate continents, though they do inhabit fairly similar regions and niches in ecology, just one is a Little more warm weather friendly than the other.
  12. very cool! thats perfect. just a couple thoughts on items you may like btw: using the crystal panes to make stronger but single hue lanterns a crystal star made of all the ore gems which you make and then have to "grow" kind of like rock candy, make it by grinding and melting the crystals into a molten goop tiny ones would make opalescent beads of light that could craft into cool items like carved gems, like a belt, necklace, or sword embellishments to give light or other attributes small ones are little place-able opalescent lights like a little desk weight, similar to the potted ones, but multicolored shimmer, about like baseball size medium (softball/grapefruit) could be a lantern like hang-able lantern that tinkles "in the wind" and helps keep away those of the dark large (basketball) could be made into a flail of light, great against the forces of darkness, or carved into a helmet/mask that allows a clearer and brighter vision of things huge (full block of spiky crystalness) large super light that holds back aggressive beings and heals/maintains those near it slowly. each stage would required an influx of materials and a new, harder minigame to grow it without it all breaking. directional lights that shine brighter longer but only in a small beam/cone of the given color concentrated crystals/crystal powder/crystal block that you refine from the shards that gives a permanent light source. the better its made the brighter it is a way to place tiny crystals on a surface to make constellation roofs and similar things, sort of nightbrite style destabilized crystal sling bullets, fling them or throw a bigger hand sized version to create a big flash of light that slowly fades in a twinkiling bang and makes creatures pause and run like a flashbang a crystal powered clockwork pet made based on the locust tech a sword made of the crystals, possibly Macuahuitl in nature, or maybe like a shark toothed saber in design, one for each ore, then one with the whole assemblage in sort of rainbow-ish order boomerang... maybe even leaves cool light trails... tinted glasses, they brighten the world a little and make everything just a little different of a shade staff that can summon crystal stuff like golems, ground spikes... some traps made with sharpened crystals or energized crystals boosted crystals using temporal dust or something to supercharge them a set of rings with a small aoe effect again, just some ideas that the crystals inspired for me i thought you may like.
  13. heyya Taska, any chance we could get a spoiler list for at least some of the craftables? its nice to reference an out of the game source from time to time
  14. definitely true about the tech level, additionally the lore on the items and classes STRONGLY suggests that the world was once super advanced and then fell to some sort of calamity, the locust and drifters just being dregs of that issue. it isn't so much that we are building everything from scratch as that we are remaking lost steps and reinventing things with some knowledge already with us.
  15. 1: i agree, and it also makes sense, especially since the animals can be tamed over generations so why not selective crop breeding or at least better specialized farming? 2: "if anything can be automated*, it should be automated" *(with the same or better results than what was done before) is one of my mottos so i totally get that viewpoint. 3: there are abut 16 known bushes in the "blueberry" family plus about 9 other species that are wrongly called blueberries, the smallest types are only shrubs about 8 inches wide by 3 inches tall, the largest are a small tree that can be about 22ft or so and 10 ft across... roughly, nature and all. the most standard commercial crop plant in america is about 4 ft wide and 5 ft tall, though they prune it back to increase yield 4: yeah, there is a reason that hoppers were one of the first items ripped from a mod into base game minecraft 5: the new update borked a lot of crop mods so possibly 6: the variety that you likely have is indeed a shrub variety, those are more common to such higher elevations, however they can grow a decent bit larger with very careful change of location and soil nutrients being ideal.
