your observation matches what I'm finding as well, not all black coal deposits have fire clay under. and when i've found fire clay it has been under the coal. (except in bauxite)

in my own experience, you can buy, and receive the new/additional key under your current login. the key will be emailed to your email account. when it comes to activating the game, you'll need a unique email.

was or is there a roof (can't tell from the screenshot) think adding a light source will prevent the mob spawns pretty disheartening, feel like it takes forever to raise chicken generations
-
you mean without first breaking it down with a chisel right? i mean though kind of wasteful, you could add another ingot that then would add the missing pixel...

can't put any attachments on to the elk or sailboat

A way to track the TOTAL amount you spend in the game
idiomcritter replied to JAGIELSKI's topic in Suggestions
I'm guessing you may have already found a solution to this by now. did make me think of this mod: ndl though i'm not sure if it addresses the need expressed... -
welome to the forums. if this is still an issue(?) there is an option under orders that allows a support ticket to be created

try searching for sylvite. it doesn't always occur in halite, but halite is pretty much the only place it does spawn afaik not sure of the exact naming of halite rock in the code, since debug doesn't want to recognize the word halite, might have a suffix or prefix i'm unaware of [edit] seems i was able to get the command to work: .debug find rock-halite just need to be close enough to the deposit (not sure could be based on render distance)
-
the long distance bridle kinda does that, requiring a single tap of the 'w' and maybe a tap on the shift to gallop, no holding needed.... cept for stopping and course correction which makes the idea of a hands off road attractive

Feature Suggestion - Flag containing mods in Save Game
idiomcritter replied to BloodyDaft's topic in Suggestions
currently looking at VS Launcher as maybe a solution in keeping multiple configurations, not sure this would address the issue here though -
welcome to the forums one of the first things i did, was to make temporal necklace when I discovered that it can later be deconstructed and used (fix TL, or set a spawn spot, or use the terminus as the need might so arise). frees up an inventory spot woot beyond that, haven't sensed any ill effects by wearing it

yes, know this sorrow. its also why I also put either a shield, or torch/lantern in the offhand, to prevent this very thing this game can be so unforgiving at times... (i love it)

At what point do you stop looking for a halite deposit?
idiomcritter replied to Chuckerton's topic in Discussion
what will show on the node search, though maybe even rarer (or not as helpful) is sylvite, something that is found in halite the wiki also points to traveling 13k plus to find desert, which has a better chance of dry lake bed salt slightly under the surface... lately i've been basing in the tropics, and just from normal cave exploring, unwittingly stumble into salt pillars. feel there are more pillars to be found in the tropics (a reason to build a TL chain south maybe) -
there is a compass mod hud, don't think it shows degrees though, but if it did, and the road is north/south, or east/west, before pushing the forward button, positioning the compass heading at 0, 90, 180, 270 would kinda hit it. at least until some obstacle nudged the movement. course if a snap to grid existed, then even a nudge might not alter the course.

a certain mod reveals 168 hours. that said, i'm guessing its varible a bit based on outside temps, winter puts growing things into a holding pattern
-
I too am searching for a way to align the elk in a direction where no further key presses are needed to correct its course(?) currently i'm resorting to cave/tunnel walls and fences keep the elk in bounds on a particular path

welcome to the forum the wiki points to a command that might help, haven't tried it myself: land claim

When a chest burns, it should drop the metal pieces
idiomcritter replied to NathanielPillar's topic in Suggestions
oh, good point! then again, with the vs theme, the metal bits would end up having damage, and need repairing(?) And welcome to the forum -
got curious a bit on this... not sure where the generation of text is coming from (source)(?) did find under the server-main.log the words used at the time seem to be recorded there (among other log type things)

How much coal should i place for this beehive kiln?
idiomcritter replied to Chuckerton's topic in Questions
(ahem) 9 is the answer. just kidding.... kinda of from my own experiment, 1 layer of fuel under the 9 grates is enough to fire up the beehive. As to whether that will be enough? don't know, guess it depends on the fuel and the amount of raw clay loaded into the kiln? sounds like more vs science is needed, feel free to post results -
as of now, your observations are correct. (could change in the future, its being looked at, judging from comments in discord, don't know the priority though) The one thing that the medallion does do (or should) is allow the owner of the medallion to use the bone whistle to summon the elk (within range) and welcome to the forum
