If the need is for search and archiving, that kind of conversation seems better suited to a well organized forum. Matrix is also not a commercial product trying to monetize it's users as Discord does. I'm pretty sure you can sign up for any matrix instance once and then enter any other matrix server with that account so that kind of federation lessens the pain of account creation. I think what you were really arguing for is iRC as that does not require a login and can be recorded and therefore archived, published and made searchable by anyone. A bot could also archive and publish conversations on just about any chat platform if allowed. Matrix room and space links do not have to expire.

I have to agree. While it make make sense that the cooking pot could be too hot to handle, a bowl of food from that pot should not be that dangerous if only for the sake of fun. Please adjust this.

It's been my experience that I will find nearly everything I need after repairing a few translocators. Often I will be teleported far away to an area with a different climate as well and new resources, traders, etc. I realize that getting to the point of fixing these generally requires fighting some horrors, but you can use terrain (particularly water) to greatly tip the advantage in your favor (even if you have minimal or no armor and only stone weapons). Many TLs can be also found very close to the surface if you poke into every cave you encounter.

You can already use AR glasses with 3DOF sensors to use your head to mouselook and it's quite immersive. Check out the linux XR driver here: https://github.com/wheaney/XRLinuxDriver for supported devices. What would be better still and usable with AR/VR is SBS or side-by-side stereoscopic rendering. This would require VS to output two offset camera positions simultaneously.

Certainly as oversized pickups are neither prudent or practical. Some folks may just be driven by the desire to compensate for something in one way or another.

The male package is under-represented in nearly all video games. Maybe over-sized pickup trucks will be added to the game before then. In the meantime, who's building the tallest windmill?

Some early game tips: Find clay deposits before settling anywhere and mark any you find in your travels, it is such an important resource. Make pots and bowls to make much better use of food and make a water-proof oil lamp from animal fat and a bowl! Collect as many saplings as possible from shrubs and trees before cutting them and always replant them! You can turn a scrub land to a (less wolfy) forest with such a small effort. Consider doing this right as you are leaving spawn for the first time as you may likely return to the spawn area and can now harvest much needed materials. On the coldest nights without warm clothing you can put yourself in a cellar (even a 2x2x2 hole sealed with dirt) to keep from freezing to death. If you make your base of 7x7x7 rooms or smaller, they can all act as cellars provided that you give them proper solid doors. You can use solid trapdoors as insulating windows for cellar rooms without needing glass. Learn to prospect (check for density no closer than about every hundred or so blocks when starting to get an idea of whats around) that you can make use of a prospecting pick when crafting your first copper tools. Pick, hammer and prospecting pick. You need a lot of copper for your first anvil and then the saw should be your next tool to make boards for so many useful items. If you don't yet have a bucket, make use of ponds and lakes to provide water for vertical shaft mining. Deep lakes can also reveal layers of rock types and sometimes valuable mineral veins without being as dangerous as caves.

Even having a side-by-side render mode could allow AR glasses like those of XReal and Viture add visual immersion.

At the very least, side-by-side stereoscopic rendering option would be great for AR glasses. Many AR glasses also have at least 3DOF motion sensing that can be translated to mouse-look.
