Just name yours saves different. My current world is "Current Story" while my old ones I'm done with get unique names once I know what I did most of in that world. For example my first world is "Frozen Hellscape 1" as it tells me it was my first world, and the reason why I stopped playing the world, or ended the story, is because I set months to 30 days long and was no where near prepared enough for my like 150 days of winter.

Low Oboe is the only one I've ever used.

I picked Mining Decorative blocks for both categories, as I love traveling the world and fixing up ruins and such, like I am some kind of great rebuilder of society, and I love how many decorative blocks there are, from scientific instruments to several types of bookcases, ruined and rugged furniture for the aged look, religious items, even simple things like globes and pipes are great! I just wish I could do more with them. Let me hide a secret book I wrote in a damaged bookshelf, or look through a telescope or spin a globe, or hang rags off of hooks, at the very least let me put moss on the brick walls so it looks more normal when i repair a bridge or build a ruined watermill for a village. Or maybe I'm just weird. Who knows.

Personally I hope Hololive and their audience stays away from VS, as I kind of like how many people with unique talents and knowledge there are and the ideas they share, and I feel like they would get lost in the massive crowd of children and young teenagers HoloLive would bring with them. Although I have heard that Hololive people need permission from the devs to stream a game, so if it ever happens at least the devs and us will be aware of it ahead of time.

I think you should be fine to keep using it, as worst case scenario you keep having problems and you can just remove it, as I am pretty sure the kobold mod is just a model change, so it shouldn't cause any problems once it is gone. Besides from what I understand all you lose is the words during world loading, and you don't see those often or for long. If you are really worried about it you can always message the mod creator.

Super late post, but that's okay. I played it for a while, but then both my friends abandoned the game so I haven't really played it since. I might end up going back to it soon, as my other big timesink game was Destiny 2, and that is in a horrid place right now.

My first game and game console were given to me by my dad, as he wanted someone to play with, so when I was maybe 5, possibly six, I played Mech Assault 1, and it became one of my favorite games. i am still upset that there isn't anymore Mech Assault games anymore, as they are now Mech Warrior, I think. The other, more weird games I got hooked on was The Spiderwick Chronicles (Xbox360) and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (OG Xbox). And Bioshock 2, Cause it's great.

Wildly late, as I only just recently got into Vintage Story, but the Disco Elysium soundtrack. More specifically the quieter, slower songs. I imagine Ecstatic Vibrations, Totally Transcendent would probably shatter any immersion into the game, but songs like La Revocholiere and Live with Me work well. or if your in a cave or some such, We Are Not Checkmated and The Field Autopsy are good at keeping you on edge. Now to come back in a year and a half and see what the next person posts.
