  1. Exactly
  2. I forgot about this. On the other site, first time you need to login online, or? This is kind of DRM. And every time you login on another pc, you have to login again (except you are offline). Yep, you are right. I don't want to destroy your world, but even now it is not really hard to pirate VS for more people. It has some restriction, but it is possible. I'm not going to write how, because I believe Devs deserve to get fair money for they work.
  3. It could work like trial license on game account. You create a game account and you can activate your one-time trial license. After that you could login to this account and play the game for e.g. 2 weeks. If you like the game, you could buy the game and the account would stay active after the trial period. If you don't buy the game, the account would be locked and after some time entirely deleted. You don't have to make any changes to the game itself and you don't need any extra demo package.
  4. @Hal13Thanx for conversation. We will see how the game evolves. Maybe something will be implementen, maybe not. It is not a must, it's nice to have.
  5. I can understand that, but som people have real life. Wifi, Kids, Work, Vacation and all of it takes his time. VS is for me a way to relax, but it is not the most important thig. As I see it, this game is not really for small kids. With all the complexity, alkohol,... I would see it 18+. It could be at least a switch in server setting. Thanx for advice. Sorry, but your Answer is out of context. I said, there is no need to use this exploit, because you can get enough food by the regular way very quickly. This is out of context as well, but it propably was not clear what I refer to: And I don't breed them because I don't need more and want to hold the numbers low. I'm aware about the lag risk. I have ca. 10 sheeps and 20 pigs and some chicken. I hope this is not too much, but anyway, I'm going to reduce the numbers. I like more survival with lot of exploring. On signleplayer I use my own setting a little bit harder than standard, but not that hard as wilderness survival. Food spoilage is fine in single player, but is a bit annoying on multi-player. This is why I look for some sort of compromise. In opinion, that we prevent the exploit you described (with low consequences) and let better let the annoying behavior of foodspoling when offline. But I get it, you see it the other way.
  6. Hmmm, how to say it. As you wrote, it depends on server settings, the community you play with and probably even climate where you live. E.g. I returned to TOPTS after few weeks. All my food was spoiled (even sealed). Some of my planted crops where dead, but most of them was ok. I took them, planted new one. Next real day it was mature and I got enough food. I killed some sheeps to get meat, cooked something and I got enough food very quickly. I don't even have to breed animals anymore, I got enough. If I want more, it is very quick on MP. So why should I stack foodstuff in someone's inventory to prevent spoiling? There is no real need to do it. As far as you get on active server seeds and animals and you are in good climate, you don't have to care about food anymore. Someone can kill all my animals, yes ... but I would not play on server with greefing community. The only problem with food and food spoilage is, when you are on trip and want to discover. I don't want to care about food every time I log in - no time left for adventure.
  7. You are right, maybe someday lore will explain this spawn behavior, but right now is a bit annoying, not game breaking, but annoying. What I imagine is that when I find a cave, I can clean it up step by step. One day I clean up one part, seal other entrances, next day I can move further, without having to clean up the same part again. Right now I need a lot of light and/or place a lot of stones to prevent/limit spawning. I can live with that, but it could be better.
  8. Steam is like good and evil. The cut from sales and refund policy are on the evil site, but lots of things are good. What I really appreciate on Steam is they support of Linux gaming. They have done a lot for it.
  9. I don't like this MC-like spawning as well. I would be better if caves could be generated with mobs inside. When they are killed they should respawn after some time period (1 game week/month), so the cave is safe for limited time. On the surface, there could be some spawn areas, where monster spawns and head towards players. Areas could be dynamically choosen, e.g. if there is no player block in the proximity of 20 block, then spawn here. It would be more immersive, than monsters appearing from air "everywhere".
  10. This is a problem if you are causal player and play once a week and the server is populated, do time almost newer freezes. Even on TOPTS "every" time I log in, I have to create new food. But I have got a lot of rot to compost and create high fertility soil I would like to see food spoilage paused on claimed areas and player inventory, when offline. Exploit is possible, theoretically, but it is not needed, especially on multi-player servers, where crops are grown on the next login and breeding animals is quick as well. This is more an Exploit then stocking food in character inventory.
  11. Reinforced blocks could glow when you hold Plumb and Square in your hand. It would be easier to see what is Reinforced and what is not.
  12. You can hold mouse button and chop as you move with mouse. You don't need to remove all squares, just the directly connected with the object.
  13. Please let wrench rotate "roof" elements.

    Low fps

On windows it is suggested to use ca. 63 fps limiter to get 60.
  15. And some block rotate tool was mentioned.
  16. What I like about VS is, that you can progress slowly and enjoy the game. It is much better if you progress to copper age after you played stone age for several game months. I don't see stone-age as some sort of "mere temporary stepping" but as the important and fun part of the game. It just lags of content and some thing are behind copper gate. Lots of things could be doable in stone age (like troughs), but with lower durability / efficiency. This should be in vanilla game, but I get it, there are more important functions to implement right now. I don't think that everyone, who wants more content for stone age, wants a stone-age simulator. We could talk the same way about copper-age simulator, bronze-age simulator ... the only right age would be steel-age. (or not) If you want to speedrun to iron/steel, than stone-age has enough content. If you want to enjoy every age, than stone-age has not enough to offer.
  17. Please no. Every illness should have natural medicine (some plant, or recipe). It is really not fun to look after some trader/shaman. At least the medicine should be enough common and suppress the illness, till you found the shaman. Maybe some really annoying illnesses should be restricted to high unstable areas. Of course, it should be something really worth in such areas, so you want to take the risk.
  18. This would be really interesting, but the probability should be low. Maybe higher if you have temporal gears in your inventory. Food should stay intact, if it is in you inventory, because it moved though the time with you. For multiplayer some area could be moved in time and than in few minutes the stability could be restored and time should move back again. (Probably too complicated to implement)
  19. It actually is possible, but not straightforward. You need to set your own server, manually change config files and set firewall. This game is worth to buy second account. It is better and easier solution.
  20. 7D2D is a voxel game as well, but ... If you create smooth terrain, you need better textures and models with more detail and even then people will complain, that the graphic is outdated. 7D2T started to change textures to hires recently. Not everyone can see, that voxel game with fully destroy-able environment is something different than "classic" game, where you can make much better graphics and it runs better on nowadays PCs. I actually like VS design, but it would be interesting to see the game without blocky world :D
  21. You mean from HP, or AMD site?
  22. Adding earthworms to compost could even speedup the process and improve the compost production.
  23. Compost actually needs lot of air to mature.
  24. Current system is not fantastic, but the same system as charcoal wouldn't be any better. Maybe even little bit more complicated as you have to store everything at once. I would like to see system more similar to real composter. Something like barrel, but you could give there different kind of "biological waste" (rot, vegetable, ...) and it would automatically, slowly change to compost. So you don't, have to close anything, just to add new food for bacteria.
  25. Hi, I know this is bug fix release, but maybe lang files could always be updated. There is lot of texts, that can be translated better. I'm trying to to improve it continuously and it is nice to get it up to date with every release. Great work btw., I'm always looking forward to see the new version.
