  1. hmmm Feels pretty hot and stuffy, the wind gives you hope for a short while until you realize that it's just another source of heat. The high humidity does the rest to make you feel like you entered a sauna, when taking a deep breath the smell of damp vegitation enters your head, the stale water in the pond slightly smelly, nothing you would want to drink without boiling it for quite a while. The only saving grace is that it's not actually THAT hot. A good description would be early summer in a jungle in south east asia
  2. right under your nose, guess thats what they call a blind spot huh?
  3. rabbits can spawn in on earthblocks growing grass iirc. is your base free of it?
  4. i do think they respawn and i also think thats ok. it's not like a single person with a spear can drive the whole wildlife to extinction. and there is also benefits for domestication so breeding your own pigs/sheep/chicken is something you might wanna work on lategame.
  5. While i do think thats a minecraft thing, maybe it works in VS too. Put a block an top of where you want the slab to be and put it on the bottom side (while you look up at it, so just the reverse from when you put it down on a block) you could also trying to switch from automatic to horizontal build mode (throw the slabs into the crafting-grid, single stack) and aim at the top half of the block next to where you wanna place em.
  6. As someone who lives in the country i can tell you that composting sticks and wood next to impossible. Even sticks would take years to naturally turn into compost, let alone wood.
  7. hmmm i think tyron once mentioned in a twitch stream (via the chat, he was watching most of the evening. The streamer was Gronkh, the most well known german let's player) that temporal areas (and i think the storms as well) have no effect on how fast processes finish right now. He also mentioned that he liked the idea of, for example, fields growing faster in a temporal unstable region as "time flows faster inside" which would lead me to the conclusion that it will probably added at some point. As for the stream, i'm gonna drop a little link Vintage Story Stream with Gronkh (german) it's also the stream that made me (and probably a lot of other german speaking people) buy the game. Might have been the best puplicity the game got until now, at least in german speaking countrys.
  8. while there are areas on the surface that are instabil, those should persist and never end if i remember correctly. maybe there was a temporal storm at the time?
  9. Honestly, i don't think smoking is a top priority right now. If you do want it in your game i would think you either make a Mod for it or find someone who makes a Mod for you. Not saying that it is a bad idea, but there is literally TONS of things that i would rather see get implemented. But if someone makes a mod for it, it might as well be a big one with not only smoking but all kinds of... recreation. While i don't touch that stuff IRL i do think halucinating or getting drunk inside a game can be quite fun.
  10. I think there might be a solution that does not require changing the world generation. How about giving limestone/chalk stones a very high dropchance inside forage containers? From what i can understand it's not like you need big amounts of lime (at least to get enough leather for the backpack) so if you can get a moderate amount out of ruins that might at least be enough to cover basic needs and anything above would be luxury (which can be fulfilled by searching) It's not like i can't understand that not finding any is frustrating, I haven't found any limestone/chalk in my world until now either, and the amount of tin i found was just enough for getting an amboss (16 nuggets) but i think finally finding what you are looking for is such a important moment in this game that simply making everything easy to find would take away a whole lot of the long-time motivation. So, giving out a bit of limestone over ruins would be just fine but making it available everywhere just because we sometimes have no luck is a big NO.
