  1. It might have just been a mistake on my part, I cannot remember Also, heads up for everyone, I'm afraid that I will not be able to continue work on this mod in the future. Life has become very busy for me and I don't foresee a time that I'll be able to consistently work on this or any other mods for Vintage Story. That said, if anyone is wishes to inherit Lazy Tweaks and keep it updated/bug free for the community you have my permission. I'm aware that there's a decent number of people who enjoy using it and I don't want to take that away from them for future versions of VS. Anyone who wishes to do so, let me know and I'll send you any files that you might need for it But from what I'm aware, all the files included in the mod can be used in Virtual Studio rather easily. Thanks everyone, ~ The Lazy Warlock
  2. The compost curing uses the same item property as curing hides (IE using fat/oil), and as far as I'm aware there is actually no difference for any container it is put into. I have not actually looked into the code too much for this item property, but I'm pretty sure it works differently than say how food will deteriorate in that the rate is constant no matter where it's placed. But, I have not tested this myself and it might be worthwhile to make some custom code for it. I actually planned on making a block version as well that you could pile it into, and if you "turn" it by breaking it up at specific points it will speed up the curing, like how it's done IRL. But that's might be way too much work, as I'm not sure how much people actually use the compost
  3. Yeah it's possible and something I plan on doing, it just requires some extra code to make a stackable block. For now, I just wanted a quick solution for it
  4. I am aware, it will be fixed in a small update. And I will try to make a config file to disable some tweaks, not sure how to do it just yet so that might take a bit of time.
  5. Is it part of the new steel smithing update? I actually only tested out steel ingots so I may have missed something. I have actually not had the time to thoroughly try out all the new features in the recent update.
  6. Ah, yeah that will require a fix on my part, I forgot that those were added recently. I'll fix that in a small update.
  7. Sometime this week, I plan on dissecting the mod into smaller "mini-mods" to try and help with compatibility and updating. I realize now that the mod is becoming too spread out to just be "tweaks" so I'd like for people to be able to choose what they want. A config is also an option, but I think having the smaller modules will be altogether better in the long run.
  8. Alright folks, the experimental of Lazytweaks for VS 1.14+ is out. There may be some bugs I missed, but I made sure that at least the most important things worked. But, always be sure to backup your worlds and such before updating. Some things I still need to figure out (but aren't as necessary ATM): GUI transformations have been altered a bit in the recent update, and patches don't work well with them. So I need to figure it out. Need to re-add the damage tiers of spears. Also, some folks have asked for me to split the mod into modules. I will likely do this to help with updating since some things will rarely need to be changed, while others will need more attention. And here's the link: Lazytweaks 1.14+ As always, let me know if there's any issues. I'll do my best to squash anything that needs immediate attention. Thanks, ~The Lazy Warlock
  9. Nice! If you want I can post a link to your mod so folks can find it from here?
  10. Well then, looks like the stable is finally out, time to get to work in earnest
  11. It sounds like a lot of folks are switching over to 1.14 even before the stable release, so I'm planning on working on a large update and bugfix this week. Will hopefully have a release by Tuesday. Thanks everyone for being so patient, I really appreciate it. ~ The Lazy Warlock
  12. I want to be a lot more thorough with the update this time. For 1.13 I did not test out a lot of things I expected to work just fine, and before I even knew there were bugs 1.14 was right around the corner. If I'm lucky, it will only take a weekend to update since I will not be adding any new features for the moment.
  13. Yah, I think combining it with peat or even charcoal dust could make it into a longer burning, higher temp version of peat (which is already useful IMO). I'll probably even give it a stackable block like peat. Maybe something like 8 straw + 1 peat + 1 charcoal dust = 4 briquettes. With a briquette burning ~ 50% longer than peat but not as hot as charcoal, making it ideal for cooking or firing things.
  14. Hmm, I'm not sure if animals will eat straw, since it's pretty low in nutrients. That said, if others agree that they get way too much straw I can maybe find other uses for it. One I considered was making briquettes to at least make use of them as a fuel source.
  15. Hi everyone, sorry for all the bugs looks like I released the current version without checking to see if everything still worked... Once a stable VS 1.14 release comes out I will do a more thorough update of Lazytweaks, making sure that all the reported issues are fixed. Until then please continue to report any other bugs so I can squash them all on release Thanks! ~ The Lazy Warlock
  16. Life has been pretty busy for me lately, but I do plan on fixing it for the VS 1.14 update. VS just updates so often it's hard to keep up
  17. Hi guys, these errors are news to me, but should be easy to fix. I'll see if I can have a quick update out sometime this weekend. Thanks, ~The Lazy Warlock
  18. Sorry for the wait everyone! I appreciate everyone's patience, and I hope you're all doing well during these crazy times. Features of the new Lazytweaks update for Vintage Story version 1.3.+ v3.0.0 Updated to Vintage Story Version 1.3.+ Added Compost tweaks, including terra preta production and compost curing. Renamed "bony soil" to "ancient loam", along with description to fit recipe. Added universal fertilizer, made from a combination of items. Added grain to seed conversions. Added leather tanning tweaks, including variant pieces and bonuses for using shears. Can shear any stage into smaller pieces to make it easier to do batches. Added straw and straw based recipes, including skeps. Changed skeps to drop themselves when broken instead of components. Added powdered charcoal and sulfur, and changed gunpowder recipe to be more realistic. Added hay bed to wooden bed conversion recipe. Made it so you can make a firepit with peat bricks There's tons of changes for this update, which have been in the background for awhile while I've been testing them out. They haven't been stress-tested with the newest version of Vintage Story, so let me know if there's any issues. And, as usual make sure to back up your saves! The only thing that might change is iron spears. Also, I'm using google drive for links for the download since there's a pretty low data limit for posts. Let me know if there's any issues. Current version download: Lazytweaks V3.0.0 (seasons update) Thanks! ~ The Lazy Warlock
  19. Oh, yeah it's about time for an update. Was waiting for a couple stable builds to come out first before I got around to it. Sorry to everyone who's had to wait, I'll try to get it out in the next couple days.
  20. Oh wow, I didn't even know Vintage Story was on Steam now. Sorry you had issues, I'll add your post to the front page for anyone else who has issues.
  21. Sorry for the cooked egg bug everybody. Here's the fixed version: Also included a few little changes to the lye recipes and ash/white potash fertilization rates to keep red potash the king of potassium fertilization. lazytweaks v1.9.1.zip
  22. Sure I can help out with textures here and there. I work part-time for Vintage Story now, but I do a lot of documentation instead of modding at the moment so I've been itching to add some cool content mods. I also want to avoid redundancies in mods, so I'd be willing to work together on something like this to make a fancy way of baking food items. I can also do pretty nice looking shape models if you're don't want to do them. A few suggestions I'd have for the future though: - Tyron plans on making fruit trees in the nearish future, so it would be good to wait on making a mod for them. Same goes for a fruit press and true ovens, but if it's not too much work it would still be a cool to have them in a mod. - Would be really cool to be able to place pies as well and have them be gradually sliced away as the player takes portions. That might help explain why it can't be stacked either. I could make a neat looking pie model for this, one that you can change the texture of the insides for with variant code.
  23. Yeah, as it stands I feel compost is not very useful. I plan on making it as a component for Terra Preta production in an up-in-coming lazytweaks addition. It'll be used in combination with charcoal and bony soil to make terra preta (similar to how it was done in real life). It will also take much less rot to produce and will allow for alternative sources to compost with (IE grass, straw, flowers etc.)
  24. I think the recipe system would benefit greatly from a "small plate" of each metal. It could be used for smaller objects that really shouldn't take so much material. The large plates should be for forming expensive, high tier items like plate armor. Perhaps I'll add a "small plate" to lazytweaks and swap it out for the lantern recipe.
