Question about bear and wolf and fox despawn in 1.8

Simple question that may seem relatively minor but is important to me.  The changelog says bears, wolves, will despawn after 14 in game days.  Does this mean the bears in my vintage story zoo will despawn if I update to 1.8?  Barry Bear, my buddy for like 2 years now, will randomly disappear 14 in game days after I update?  This is disappointing.

Weeeellll...  Since bears were introduced in 1.17 downgrading to 1.8 would definitely de-rez your buddy Barry Bear.

But I assume you meant updated to 1.18 and agree that your captive wild animals in the zoo are likely to despawn.  But others will be able to confirm better than I.

haha, yes I did mean 1.18.  And Thank You.  Maybe someone else can confirm.

Would be kind of cool to be able to use a temporal gear on a creature to make it permanent (barring death, of course).
