Maelstrom Posted February 22, 2024 Report Posted February 22, 2024 I'm now on my fourth world with 2 of the previous worlds running multiple years, AND my current world is the beginning of Sept (running 12 day months) and I'm STILL in my original packed dirt hut. You're looks amazing compared to my current quarters.
SunshineFaith Posted February 25, 2024 Report Posted February 25, 2024 Better than my starter houses. I love windows! Â
Niko 5927 Posted February 28, 2024 Author Report Posted February 28, 2024 this is a copy of my first house that i made in vintage story but in roblox
DejFidOFF Posted February 28, 2024 Report Posted February 28, 2024 Hey o/ Nice and simple hut. I like it. I was read the comments and I am definitely different. I never build a "starter" house. I always just hanging around until have enough materials for start to building proper house - starting with a walls and then  gathering materials for windows, roof atc 1
Maelstrom Posted February 28, 2024 Report Posted February 28, 2024 Things are different when the drifters spawn the first night when there are 2 choices - 1. RUN! or 2. Build a protective structure out of the material at hand, typically packed dirt.
Thorfinn Posted February 28, 2024 Report Posted February 28, 2024 OT, but I think drifter drops have been improved. Pretty sure I'm getting flax often enough to make it worthwhile to go into night intending to go hunting instead of just running around sticking.

Brandybuck Posted August 14, 2024 Report Posted August 14, 2024 People talking about how they make their first house. Most common way for me is to make a small packed earth hut. Usually into side of hill. As I get the tules I make a thatch roof, real wooden door, trapdoor windows. Then that's my base of operations for making my real house nearby as I get the materials. Then I keep the old house as a remote cellar, tack house, whatever. 1
Obscene Posted August 21, 2024 Report Posted August 21, 2024 The flatness of the walls reminds me of old source games.

I was thinking more of the og half life or maybe deus ex. Never played either of those, but they look more like isometric games from a cursory search.
Thorfinn Posted August 23, 2024 Report Posted August 23, 2024 No, BT and M&M are way older than that. The flat walls were just a graphic from the point of view of the center of a corridor, showing a little of the tile both right and left of you, the entire tiles 1 space in front of you, and kind of a shadowy view of the tile 2 spaces ahead. Step forward 1 step and it puts up a different graphic of the new map. A step down from the Gold Box. But apart from the rotation, the walls look very similar.
